Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The Cobalt allows complete wireless freedom plus the Full Sound of Koss. Going wireless has never been so easy. The Koss Cobalt uses frequency-hopping technology for interface-free audio. Providing a 30-foot range, you can move freely while taking a call, or listening to your favorite music or movies. Just working on your PC? The Cobalt is also sold with a USB dongle transmitter that allows you to plug into your computer. Incorporating a Lithium Ion battery, the Cobalt gives plenty of airtime. The Cobalt is the first to feature two separate transmitters one with your computer (USB) and the other for your CD, DVD player, or MP3 player allowing for great versatility. The Cobalt can also be used with select mobile phones, utilizing its built-in microphone that allows the user to facilitate two-way communication or couple with the Bluetooth enabled cell phone for calls. The Cobalt allows music lovers to answer calls with the same headphones used for listening to their portable music players.

The behind-the-head design of the Cobalt provides maximum comfort during long listening periods. Foam ear cushions allow for hear-through sound, and its dynamic element provides extended frequency response. The wider frequency response results in better overall sound performance for the Cobalt. For added convenience, push button volume controls on the ear cup allow for easy level adjustment. The Cobalt is also collapsible for protective storage and maximum portability when listening on the go. The Cobalt package includes the stereophone, audio transmitter, USB audio dongle, USB charging cable, AC charging adapter, and audio extension cable. The second transmitter requires (2) "AAA" batteries that are not included.

Built to last, the Cobalt is covered under Koss' No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty--the only warranty of its kind in the stereophone industry.

4.0 out of 5 stars cobalt by koss, October 28, 2009

It is nice that it comes with usb adapter and blue tooth adapter so that you can use it with your computer or with audio equipment that is not bluetooth compatable. I use it with my reciever and can listen to my dvds or tv shows. Could be more comfortable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good product but not the sturdiest, January 9, 2010

This review is from: Koss Cobalt Wireless Bluetooth Stereophone (Electronics)
This product works well, and I was satisfied with all its features except one. The connection between the earpiece and the headband broke after about 15 hours of use, despite not having been subjected to rough treatment. I didn't try to work through Koss because I figured it was easier to repair it myself. I repaired it with glue reinforced by nylon fishing line. If you buy this product, remember that the hinge where the earpiece folds is too weak.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Surprised! Nice Set of Bluetooth Headphones!, January 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Koss Cobalt Wireless Bluetooth Stereophone (Electronics)
I received the Koss Cobalt Wireless Bluetooth Headphones today. Charged them up for about 3 hours before the first use and then began testing them. They came with a 3.5mm transmitter and a usb transmitter - both which work very well.

First thought was that they looked and felt nicer than I was expecting. They are plastic but compared to other less expensive headphones, they seem somewhat sturdy. It's my first behind-the-head set of headphones so fitting them for the first time was a little strange but once I got used to them they were very comfortable.

They paired up very easily to both the 3.5mm transmitter, USB dongle and my Android cell phone.

Sound quality was pretty good, at least for a $50 set of headphones with Bluetooth.
Good highs and even the lows were pretty decent.

They are not noise cancelling, but do a fairly good job of blocking out noise when the music is on. They have a built in volume control which is really nice.

Overall, for the price and quality, I would have given them 5 stars except for a couple of minor gripes.

They don't come with a carry case and they also don't have a direct 3.5mm connection in the event that you would like to connect the headset directly to the source. That would have been a nice addition.

Again, a pretty decent set of headphones for the price.
