3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not what I expected.
I bought this hard case for my Koss PortaPro headphones. It is well made and serves the purpose. The only dislike I have: is too big for the folded PortaPro headset I have...I probably can fit inside two of this model - I wish they have designed this carying case in specific sizes.

Within the confines of my Koss Carrying Case you will find Ipod, Koss PortaPro headphones, Ipod download/charger cord and a headphones extension cord with volume control. The storage bag which comes with the Koss PortaPro headphones serves to organize this paraphenalia subset inside the storage pod so the serpentine components do not get tangled, strangled, or strewn. This storage pod also has a small integral storage pocket inside. This pocket was picked for storing an extra set of headphone ear-cushions. Result: A classy conveyance carrying a conspicuously consolidated consortium of considerable capacity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well with my Porta Pro, May 2, 2010

I move around a lot and this case helps me store my porta pro headphones much quicker than how I would if I use the leather bag it came with. Also this gives relatively better protection from getting crushed.

I however did expect it to be smaller, but it works for me because I can now fit my small media player in it. Works really well for me.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews--the case is a bit too large and not what I expected. You could probably fit two, if not even three sets of Koss Portapros in it. I don't very much see cramming a lot of other items into the case, it might damage the headphones. What the case needs is a core that the phones could slip around and would prevent the case from caving in. It's really not that solid or durable. If you put this in a full suitcase or in the bottom of a knapsack it would be easily crushed. This is NOT a true "tortoiseshell" case. If you're looking for a hard-shell case--look somewhere else. However, if you're comfortable storing your $35 set of Portapros in an over sized Hushpuppy, then this is about as good as you're going to get for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Bit Large, But Does the Trick, October 26, 2009
This review is from: Koss Headphone Carrying Case for PortaPro, SportaPro, QZ2000, KTX8, KSC17, P14, P16, and Pop Gloss (Electronics)
The case is sturdy, but on the large side, as some have noted. I have the PortaPro Jr. model (the same as the PortaPro, but without the volume control built-in.). The headphones don't completely fold down flat, they instead fold into a semi-circle. They do need some sort of protection, as the temple and ear cushions are susceptible to damage if put inside a bag without protection. So while this case, which fits the curve of the headphones perfectly but leaves some negative space inside in the process, does fully protect the headphones, you could look around for something large enough to fit the length of these phones, but more rectangular in shape, I suppose. Even a large enough drawstring bag would probably suffice. Still, I like the solid protection that this case gives. I wish Koss would come up with something more customized. They do make these cases in different sizes, and size B is the one they recommend for the Portapros.

One other note, though. Koss retails these for $9.99, and you can buy them direct from Koss at this price and the shipping is just a few dollars. Why is this retailing for $27+ dollars here?!?

Good material, very reforced shell and this is a nice complementar case to protect your headphone, once the original that comes with it isn`t very resistant.

The case is built good, but it is a bit too big for the PortaPro/SportaPro. Still, I'm using it for the past 3 month and it looks as new.

Iwas given the phones that go in this case and thought this would help when travelling. It takes some doing to get them safely inside but it's possible. It should make then easier to handle on the plane.
