Product Description

-Story-
It has been almost a century since the end of the Energi War. Nevertheless, within this prolonged season of peace, the Schwarzschild Empire has once again begun plotting world domination as it starts to conquer and occupy one nation after another. It is during this time that Ash and Karim, two residents of Heiland, a small town on the frontier, rescue a young woman and her escort as they are being pursued in the nearby woods by a contingent of foreign soldiers. Yet, who is this mysterious girl and what fate is in store for Ash and those with him as they attempt to help her fulfill her mission...? Find out as this dramatic story begins to unfold!

-A classic Japanese role-playing game-
Employing an orthodox turn-based battle system, Alphadia evokes a feeling of nostalgia with its classic gameplay style. In addition, its refined game balance and simple interface make this game easy for anyone to pick up and enjoy. Furthermore, with completely redrawn graphics, Alphadia's world shines on high-resolution touch screens.

-Charming characters and a dramatic story-
It is often thought that games on a cell phone can only offer a short, limited experience, but that is not the case with Alphadia. Alphadia boasts an expansive drama that spans 30+ hours of gameplay, and which is sure to pull on a few heartstrings as Ash and his party are faced with numerous challenges and trials.

-Engage in strategic battles while exploiting the potential of energi-
By mastering the various elementals, characters become adept in using a host of energi skills. Which energi skills characters learn beyond those of their inherent elemental, however, is given to the player to decide! Having such freedom lends itself to an overall richer gameplay experience in Alphadia.

As players learn to harness elementals in battle, they quickly become able to take advantage of their situation, and the thrill of battle increases. And of course, for those who prefer, there is an auto-function built into Alphadia's battle system that allows players to cut through waves of enemies with little effort should they choose.

A recent update fixed the screen size issue on tablets and hi res phones. The update was actually up for some time on the Android Market, but Amazon was slower to publish it, which happens on a lot of apps.

The game itself is quite good. I really enjoyed it. If you like the other Kotobuki Solution games or just are a fan of JRPGs from the 2D era this one is a must.

The one area I took a star off for is no touch based controls. I'm not a big fan of virtual gamepads and really prefer a touch control like Symphony of Eternity had the option of doing. I think it's just better suited for tablets and phones.

I actually think the pricing is fine. I don't expect everything to be 99 cents and this longer and more complex than angry birds. That said, if you think it's too much wait for a sale. It has been on sale once and may go on one again. Personally, I think it's well worth the $4.

Just like the others from Kemco. Works fine on vizio tablet. Great 16 bit graphics, and gameplay. Wish price was a tad lower.

This is the 3rd Kemco game I've played, and while I enjoyed it, it was way too long and for no good reason. The dungeons were horribly complex (I had to use graph paper to map out some of the dungeons just so I wouldn't get lost), and the battles were far too easy.

The story was pretty good, but after 15 hours or so, I was ready for it to end. I did not particularly enjoy the last 5 hours of having to go through yet another insanely long dungeon, and trying to keep track of where I'd been so as to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I also don't like random encounters. In Symphony of Eternity and Symphony of the Origin, you can see the monsters (and usually avoid them, if you want.) The one good thing about Alphadia is that after you beat it, you unlock their "cheat mode" and one of the options then is to turn off random encounters when you want to.

This game started out looking to be really promising, but in the end the battles were way too easy and the dungeons were way too complicated. It took me over 20 hours to beat the game, and at that I wound up skipping the quest at the end for "epic weapons," because I just wanted the game to end. If the battles had been harder, I might have been okay with such a long game, but as it is it's just too darn long.

Suffice to say, any and all Kotobuki games are aces in my book. I probably overpaid early on but then i waited on this one and some others and got them at a discount! This reminds me a great deal of my Phantasy Star/Final Fantasy/Dragon Warrior days. Long live the old-school RPG's!!!

I wanted to like this game, but it was simply too sub par. I beat the game using mostly auto. the tile reuse makes every dungeon look the same. Sega Genesis and SNES definitely did better decades ago.

I played and enjoyed other Kemco RPGs but this one is the least enjoyable one I have played. The fights are way too easy and I have not found a use for spells or items at all. Auto play can easily get you through boss fights, there is no strategy at all. Gold is easy to come by and upgrading weapons and armor almost feel unessasary 10 hours into the game. My biggest issue with the game though are the stupid dungeons that forces you to explore rooms multiple times to find keys to unlock the doors to get to the final chest of each dungeon. Its a nice little time waster if you like RPGs you can just autopilot through, I somehow played this for a full day before realizing how tedious it was getting.

The story and characters is fine, but forgettable among the many other games out there. I paid $1 and I played it for a good while so I don't feel like it was a waste of money but I wouldn't pay more than that and after 10 hours I feel that I have seen enough and won't intend to finish this game.

This needs to be on Amazon Kindle
This app is currently featured on the "Kindle Fire Apps" page of the website under the heading "Up to 50% Off Apps and Games for Kindle Fire". Apparently, the compatibility check didn't get the memo.
