The CBU420 will add a total of four (4) Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports to your laptop computer. This will meet your nowadays high connectivity demands. It also comes with an USB power adapter cable to ensure sufficient power will be provided to your power hungry peripherals. Ideal interface for digital cameras, scanners, printers, external CD/DVD writers, etc. Four (4) 480Mbps Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports. Add additional four (4) more USB 2.0 ports to your laptop computer to meet nowadays high connectivity demands. Supports 32-bit CardBus and (PCMCIA Type II) slot. USB Specification v.1.0/1.1/2.0 compatible (data transfer rate at 1.5/12/480Mbps). USB complies with OHCI (Open Host Controller Interface ) and EHCI (Enhanced Host Controller Interface). A good deal and a good product. The price was a little more than some of the other USB 2.0 pcmcia cards, but this was an easy install. Actually, plugged it in - added the power from USB port and re-booted - it worked fine. Didn't even need to add drivers (Win XP SP2) or use the enclosed cd. The transfer rate is noticably faster than the USB 1.1
