Product Description

Designed and owned by a work at home mom, the Kozy Carrier is a modern version of the Asian Mei Tai, otherwise known as an Asian Baby Carrier (ABC). With wide padded shoulder straps, a padded curved head support, and sturdy durable fabrics, the Kozy was designed for the comfort of not only you but your child as well. And with its generous sized body, it not only supports your child throughout their legs, bum and back, but it is made to grow with your child. It can be used from birth through toddlerhood and beyond . . . making the Kozy a GREAT value. With the Kozy you can wear your little one on your back, on your front facing in or out, or even on your hip. You can even breastfeed your little one in the Kozy in the front facing in position. And because of its versatility, the Kozy can be worn comfortably when pregnant. The design itself is amazingly simple. It's a rectangle of fabric with 4 fabric straps. You just tie it on. The short straps tie around your waist. The long (65") padded straps go over your shoulders or cross on your chest and then tie in the back or wrap around to tie in front. There are no buckles or gadgets to fool with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best carrier I've ever tried, August 23, 2009

This review is from: Kozy Carrier (Baby Product)
I bought my Kozy out of desperation. I had a new baby and a five year old, a very bad back problem, and desperately needed to have a second pair of hands (what mom doesn't?) My son was comfortable in my Sleepy Wrap, but I couldn't seem to get the hang of nursing with him in it. I needed some serious help.

Enter the Kozy. I found it by accident on the web. The mei tai design isn't new, but the extra features to update it are different than any carrier I'd looked at.

* Nonstructured. No rings, buckles, or bits for sleep-deprived fingers to fumble. If you can tie a knot, you're good.
* Will fit my 6'3" husband and 5'2" me.
* Curved top which supports floppy infant heads and can roll down if you feel like it when the baby's older.
* Padded straps.
* Variety of carry positions. I use the front carry going to the store and nurse with complete hands-free ease. No one's the wiser. No sagging fabric to retighten, although depending on nursing, I may have to loosen the knot and raise or lower the baby. I use the back carry after morning feedings to do housework, and the baby falls asleep with no fuss.
* The pocket! You can order a pocket option on the Kozy website, and it's an absolute godsend. It holds my wallet, keys, a diaper, a bottle of water... I never bother with a purse going out any more. There's also a secret little pocket in one of the straps to hold a cell phone, extra handiwipes, emergency cash...
* Quality canvas construction. This stuff is heavy duty and very durable.
* Customer service is great, and these ladies guarantee their work.

I swear by my Kozy. In fact, I want another one so I can leave one in the car and keep one for home. My back does not bother me with using my Kozy, which is just one more added bonus. Definitely worth the money and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars it's great, October 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After getting the adjusting down, I love this carrier. I've tried many slings and a few carriers and this has been the most favored by myself and my 8 month old. I've used it quite a bit and now can pull and tie it just to where I want it and my back doesn't hurt after wearing my baby for a while (she's 20lbs). I really wanted something that would take the pressure off my shoulders and upper back so that's why I love it. I don't care about looks much but I get compliments on it because it is a pretty design and color. My baby is comfortable and happy because I'm holding her. I could say more but that's the jest. I really like it!
