Kniha o nezvycajnom putovani mladeho muza vo vire jeho tazkych zivotnych skusok. Stretol sa s agresivitou stredoskolskych ucitelov a spoluziakov. Prekonal tazke zranenie v Spojenych statoch pocas sportoveho zapasu. Vyrovnal sa s povolanim na vojensku sluzbu, ktore malo necakane vyustenie. Odcestoval do svojho prveho zamestnania v zahranici. A napokon - jeho neopakovatelne skusenosti v jednej z poprednych telekomunikacnych firiem v Londyne. Tym vsetkym presiel pocas krestanskej misie sotva dvadsatrocny muz. A ako to mohol zvladnut? Jednoducho uveril, ze jeho zivot vedie aj v najtazsich zivotnych situaciach Spasitel, ktoreho meno je: Jezis Kristus!
Miroslav Halás (1954) was born in Michalovce, in the family of Protestant minister. He spent his childhood in a small village in eastern Slovakia. When twenty years old, he leaves home for the quarter million city of Košice. There, he is employed as a novice of dramaturgy in the theater.
In 1979, his first collection of novels (Slnko práve klesalo) is published. It captures the life of simple peasants and rural workers, but especially the love of two young people, which is disrupted by a tragic death.
His other two books (Hazardné hry, Znovuzrodenie) get published later. He is the author of eight broadcasted radio plays. He also worked as publishing editor, editor of the Czechoslovak Radio in Košice, Slovak television editor in Košice.
In 1989, there is a fundamental change in his life ‐ he becomes a born‐again Christian. Live encounter with Jesus Christ suddenly opens up completely new horizons in his life. A new mission ‐ he becomes a missionary preacher of Pilgrim Church. How does this mission look like? Starting in own family circle in the first place. With his son. Testimony of this was given in his book "Land in the Distance".
