Beautful.,
By Tom Krap "Tom" (Kansas.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Krap the Conqueror (Paperback)
This book has to be on the upper hand of my top 10 favorite books. It is filled with passion and just pure sensuality and lust, its unbearable. The thought of going into the wilderness and speaking with various north american bears is just amazing. The bonding of the animals with the river water, its unfathomable. I cannot believe Rich Parsons has such an imagination that goes beyond my street, or maybe even block. Seriously, but not kidding. After I had read this book, even the simple tasks of sucking on a tic tac turns into a dave pelzer experience. Then you ask yourself, who am I? When I asked myself, who am I?, I said to myself, "MMM Tom, you are david hasselhoff." Then life just became clear to me. In the really foggy to dusty kind of way. You know? Maybe it is just my David Hasselhoff persona which leads to me to understand my deep analogies. Thank you, Rich Pasons. You, are my brother. In the ghetto black/white trash kind of way. I love you. I am over the age of 13.

Sequel to "Colin the Librarian",
By Marshall Lord (Whitehaven, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Krap the Conqueror (Paperback)
This is the second of two books which tell the story of a meek librarian who is transported into a parallel universe dominated by swords and sorcery. The first book is called "Colin the Librarian" and as that title suggests, both books are parodies of the stories of "Conan the Barbarian". Krap the Conqueror being, of course, the muscle bound hero who fights to save Colin and his friends from the evil Thargs. If you find the names of these two books funny, you will probably find this book mildly amusing - probably not quite as entertaining as you may have hoped from the titles, but the books do have their moments. It wouldn't be entirely fair to dismiss this as a one-joke comedy. Nevertheless, if you don't think the titles particularly funny, or have never heard of "Conan the Barbarian," then most of the jokes in this book will probably go straight past you. |
