Solid construction and a decent case. I only rated it four stars because the D note is really soft relative to the other notes and it requires a considerable amount of air to get a solid tone.

I bought this handy little unit as a backup in case my chromatic tuner ever bongs out on me. You can never be too careful, eh what? I keep it always in my mandolin case...same tuning as the violin.
