Product Description

An Epic Fantasy Adventure

When the last war ended, the Elves’ magic blossomed until the nation existed in a near utopia: that is, until the Black Mage retrieved the necromanceress Kravorctiva from the Netherworld. The sorceress’s chief desire – to conquer mortals. And, she does not share power or have the patience to placate the demented mage.
Stanton leads a party in search of the Elves’ sole hope, the hunt to recover the Elfstone soiccat, the only means of sending the evil sorceress and her wicked servants back to their eternal prison. Then, two magical Dragons are suddenly sailing the skies of Frontmire.
The Elven Army fails in stopping Kravorctiva and her bloodthirsty underlings. The quest to find soiccat lies in ruin. The one real Dragon who has the power to destroy Kravorctiva can’t be bothered in helping the Elves, and the conflict escalates.

Kravorctiva - Mistress of Chaos is the continuation of the battle between good and evil, in this case, the restoration of the Kingdom of the Elves in Frontmire to its full glory. As usual, there is a 'fly in the ointment', and suddenly the utopia stinks. In this volume, Book III, Dragons in all of their grandeur come into play, and we explore the darkness of the subterranean maze as that darkness creeps into the hearts of those who seek the Elfstone that will send the sorceress back to the Netherworld.

About the Author

A thirty-five year resident and native of Northern Maine’s “French Country”, David was a jack-of-all-trades for many years. He received a B.S. in Biology in 1979 and a B.S. in Nursing in 1989 from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. After ten years of nursing, he received a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta in 1999, when he also married Eileen his lovely wife in Key West, Florida. They then moved to coastal Oregon where they now have a chiropractic practice and a family of five dogs and three cats. Having dabbled at writing in college, David never suspected that he had a four- volume fantasy series lying within him. He has been a devoted fan of the fantasy genre and gives credit to the two chief influences of his writing (no plagiarism intended) J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Brooks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing Fantasy, December 16, 2009
By
Kravorctiva: Mistress of Chaos by David E. Daigle is not the type of book I normally read but I read it to try a different type of story to keep me entertained. It took me a little longer to read this book due to the written format using words that are not used in this day and age. The author does provide a glossary to given explaination to this unusual words and sayings. This is a well written book. This fantasy is set in mysterious places and it did keep me entertained.

This is one book in a series of stories so if you like this type of book you will definately like this book. It has the feel of the Lord of the Rings but has it's own story line. If you like books about good vs evil and want to be taken into a fantasy land, please read this book. You will probably want to read the others by the same author.

I began writing after being viciously assaulted by a muse. She said to me, "Dave, you know what you should do? You should write a book.
Well, I was still working ER as a nurse, establishing a chiropractic business and remodeling the house to meet the bank loan's deadlines. I had a choice finger expression for her. But when I went on break that night, I wondered, "If I did write a book, what would I write about?" The story began unfolding before me. I grabbed a pen and paper and started writing. $400,000 words later, I was done.
