Finally available on DVD this "complete" collection may not be quite complete, but the cartoons look great! Other reviewers have stated there are missing cartoons, but since this is a very old memory for me I don't see anything missing that I can remember. The shorts are on two one sided discs, but unfortunately there are no extras. If you're a fan of the series this is a great set and I doubt there will ever be another. You can find this for under $10.00 if you look around and it's a bargain at that price! OH IGNATZ!

What can I say about Krazy Kat? The cartoon series is a warm memory from my childhood, filled with all the craziness and obsurdities that made the comic strip so memorable. The animation captures the basic feel of the classic strip and though the stories may be silly, they work. I highly recommend this collection, my only regret is that I didn't have it sooner.

While the quality on this set is great, it's not complete. There are at least six more shorts that do not appear on the two DVDs. I have heard that a fan-produced collection will bring those to DVD, along with at least one episode of "The Secret Lives of Walter Kitty" that almost got an official DVD release earlier this year.

I can remember back when I was a kid, coming home from school, and chilling in front of the television watching krazy kat, snuffy smith and the likes.

I mean what kind of a person could actually imagine creating a charachter (krazy kat), in deep passionate love with a mouse (ignatz)? Aren't cats supposed to eat mice, lol....

Now if I can just find that snuffy smith dvd, I could add it to my collection :).

I remember watching this as a kid.It was a lot more interesting then,I felt for the Cat that was constantly being abused.I later learned this was an unhealthy relationship she was in with a "rat".Ignazt was just a lout,cruel and sadistic,always on the lam,just like a typical urban couple these days.The style of cartooning is ,should I say,bare,no nonsense.Ignazt has stick arms,legs and fingers.The back ground is minimal at best.This dvd(2) has crisp and bright animation and great sound.I suggest you may need to spark up something to enjoy the oddness of this series.
