Mega Game!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Krazy Racers (Video Game)
I personally own a GameBoy Advance and have played Krazy Racers. I can tell you that it is a brilliant game and definately worth getting! If you compare this game to Mario Kart advance the first thing you will notice is that in terms of looks and visual effects it outrates those of Mario Kart. The second is that the weapons/power ups are more hilarious and creative eg.you can zap your enemies with batteries and frost all the roads with ice (so that they slide out of control). The game features four modes(grand prix, time trial, free run and mini battle).you can also play multiplayer. The characters may be familier to Kanomi fans but others will just have to discover them. The game includes 8 characters like Mistical Ninja's Geomon and Castlevania's Dracula. There is also a hidden character. There will be special coins scattered throughout the 16 courses.Collect them to upgrade your karts. This game is brilliant, you just have to get it!

Best Current Multi Player Advance Game!,
This review is from: Krazy Racers (Video Game)
Being huge gameboy fans my buddies and I were on the waiting list early for the new advance and have been playing nearly non stop for the past few days. Of all the CURRENT games, this is the best Multi Player game out there. If you have EVER played Mario kart, this is basicaly the same thing. Same game play, feel, with similar power-ups and items. Why Nintendo did not release Mario Kart Advance is beyond me, this is one multi player genre that does not get boring. The characters are not Mario, Princess, etc. BUT who cares? There are plenty of characters to choose from and plenty of different courses to race on. Like Mario Kart, you have your ice courses, your beach courses, your "sky courses" and the ever difficult "castle" course. Again, this is pretty much the same thing as Mario Kart, if you have played that with your friends before you know that it rocks as a multi player game. Krazy Racers is no different.

GBA Konami Krazy Racers - mini-review This game is basically a 'rip-off' of the Mario Kart racer game, but despite not being a very original idea, KKR is a great game. If you have played Mario Karts, the playability is very similar.I really enjoy this game and highly recommend it. EGM gave this game a score of 8.5, 8.5, and 9.0 (all three votes out of 10). I agree with that - I think this game is a definite 9 out of 10, and rivals THPS or IRIDION for best graphics of the launch games. The ground and track are shown with mode 7 style graphics, and the cars, objects, trees, etc. are shown with detailed scaling sprites. The effect is extremely well-done, and is amazing on the GBA's tiny screen. I am quite happy with my purchase. I give Krazy Racers a 9 / 10.

Konami Krazy racers satisfies al lrequirements of a kart racer. Multiplayer games, 16 tracks, plenty of fun characters and peppy music and sound effects. Where else can you turn your opponent in ot a little hopping pig? You race around a course and try to beat out a friend or the computer. Standard fare. The game itself runs pretty well, even though it froze on me twice. All in all i thoroughly enjoy this game becasue it is full of fast and fun kart racing. HOWEVER if you are low on funds i would wait until august and buy MarioKart. Sure Krazy RAces is very similar, but Mario kart has several little quirks that this game does not and i feel that MarioKart is better. Krazy Racers does not have the slide feature of mariokart, which makes turning difficult. Also the tracks are littered with little holes that you fall into and it gets pretty annoying. mario's balloon multiplayer is also much more entertaining than Krazy Races pass the bomb, which is damn near impossible sometimes. If you have to get your Kart on Right now immediately, Run to the store and buy this game, it is well worht it. But if you want real kart racing and aint willing to buy Mario and Krazy then wait for mario. Krazy Racers is mario kart minus a few fun features. (note that i have not played mario kart advance, i'm going off the supre nintendo and N64 versions, as well as what i have heard over at ign. So in the end if Mario Kart Advance is crappy, then Krazy RAcer would obviously be my kart racing choice for hte GBA)

Not Mario Kart but...,

okay...like everyone else i was disappointed that mario kart didn't launch with the GBA. what can you do? i picked up krazy racers the day after launch and decided to give it a try. surprisingly, once you can overcome the comparisons to Kart, krazy racers is actually a really good game. the graphics are amazing, much better than kart on the SNES. the music is okay. the characters are unfamiliar but are neato. the power-ups are cool and track design is pretty good. even if you're a kart veteran, the upper levels of this game will give you a bit of a challenge. overall, i'd say its a good buy. the only that hurts it is the lack of a good battle mode. it has mini-battle type games, but they pale in comparison to the b-mode in kart.xcapekey

Cutie kart racing at its finest.,

There are so many games out there, that it is hard to find a game that breaks the traditional mold of its genre. From the many Street Fighter spin-offs to the Mario Kart mascot racing,... one could say, "If you've played one, you've played them all." Not true. Konomi Krazy Racers adds a few spices to the standard recipe.Racing begins just like every other Mascot Racer. You sit on the track , waiting for some franchised symbol to tell you when to go. Since Konomi does not have a major mascot, you will not recognize any of the surroundings or characters. The racing engine is similar to Wacky Wheels (PC - 1993). As you zoom around the track, you pick up offensive weaponry. This consists of ice crystals, bombs, and rockets. You race around the track in a predetermined number of laps, usually 3. This is pretty much the standard. Krazy Racers does mix things up by added a store where you can purchase weapons and kart upgrades prior to the race. There are also two new battle games. The first one is Bomb Chaser. Bomb Chaser reminds me of playing tag as a child. You zoom around in your kart, until you crash into someone, causing the bomb you are carrying to explode. Once you crash into someone, you no longer carry the bomb, and that person is essentially "IT". The other battle game is Chicken. This is your basic chickie run, as you zoom toward the edge of a cliff, dock, or whatever the stage theme is. The closer you are to the edge without going over, the better your chance of winning. There really is not much to tell about the environment in this game. You have your standard kart themes, Open air prairie, big lake... if you have played Super Mario Kart, you already know the type. I was impressed by the reflection of the sky on the water. This is the first time that I have seen this done in any kart racer. It is a good attention to detail. I can not complain about the game play on Konami Krazy Racers. Control fits the standard, Jump, Accelerator, Brake, and Item. This is an easy to learn racer because it does not require you to learn to jump and turn, but jump is placed there simply for a defensive tactic. You can also use the jump for advance racing, but the game's formula does not require this. Altogether, I am pleased to see a change in kart racing. I highly recommend this game to gamers of all ages. I would go as far as to say, minus the battle mode featured in Super Mario Super Circuit, this is a better game.

No need to wait for Mario Kart,
By

Does the gaming world need another kart racing game? Well, when it's done this well the answer is a resounding "Yes!" With such a solid title, race fans have no need to wait for Nintendo to bring out their Kart Racer, Krazy Racers proves to be everything Mario Kart was and more. The eight racers are all from the Konami gaming universe: Dracula (from Castlevania) Goemon (from Mystical Ninja) Moai (from Gradius) Ninja (from Metal Gear Solid) Nyami (from Pop'n Music) Pastel (from Pop'n TwinBee) Takasuke (from Parodius) and a Baseball Player from Powerful Pro Baseball There are 16 tracks, and the gameplay closely mirrors Mario's title, with all of the power-ups and cup series to match. The game's graphics are highly colorful, the sound is upbeat (with the great WaiWai Racing theme song that will stick in your head for days), the layout of the game is fun, and most importantly, the gameplay is tight and very playable. I liked the relatively unfamiliar characters & was glad to see someone else do a kart racer that turned out to be as good or better than the original. Konami knows a winner when they publish it, and this one is a definite hit.

This game was challenging even for a 10 yr old like me. My Mom cleaned my room and threw it out and I never completed the 3rd Liscense Test.

Konami's Krazy Racers Game,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Krazy Racers (Video Game)
I think that this game is really cool. There are lots of awesome characters to choose from, great graphics, and many unexpected surprises. I think that this game is WAY better than Mario Kart Super Circuit because you can control your cart a lot easier, there are more items to use, and the characters are a lot more fun. One of the strongest points of this game is that there are lots of levels that you can choose from to play on and you can unlock new courses when you take tests to get new liscences. There are lots of courses that you can choose from, some are even in space, on ice, or in the sky. There's a bunch of cool things on the courses like jumps and pools of a purple liquid that turbo charge your cart. Another great thing about this game is that there are four hidden characters that you can unlock. This is one of the best video games thet I have ever played and I hope you enjoy playing it too.

Cool Kart Racing is Krazy,

Krazy Racers does a good job at getting the Mario Kart concept down and is probably the next best thing to Mario Kart Super Circuit which comes out on August 27. Krazy Racers has chracters you probably never heard of. Dracula from Castlevania,Ninja from Metal Gear and Goemon are probably the only chracters you've heard of but that's the only downfall really. Of course I'm still getting Mario Kart but Krazy Racers has colorful tracks, cool music, powerful items and it has a rumorboard which gives out encouragement and tips and it has a couple mini-games. Anyway if your bored with the current GBA games and are waiting for Mario Kart try out Konami Krazy Racers so you won't be bored on the wait for Mario Kart.
