Product Description

Size: 6 FT | Color: Silver

Our leashes are fashioned from pre consumer and post consumer recycled nylon climbing rope. We upcycle the rope which is better than recycling because we use the rope in its original form and extend its life by transforming it into a dog leash. There are no carbon-intensive recycling processes to turn the rope into something else. So you get a great leash. The rope stays out of the landfill and the environment gets a break.

I have a very demanding dog and he will not accept anything but the best. I have to feed him out of my hand because he doesn't like the aftertaste of his porcelain dog bowl. He also sleeps in my bed because he proclaims that he has restless leg syndrome that is aggravated by the cold floor. I exclaimed that I shouldn't have to sleep on the couch in my own home, but he protested that he preferred the bed because my downy pillows "reminded him of the soft underbelly of his mother whom he will never know because I took him away from her when he was just a pup." As such, he will not put up with a traditional nylon leash that relegates him to the same level of the "street urchin" he has to share a sidewalk with. Last week I came home to find that he had taken advantage of my Amazon One Click settings and purchased this Krebs Climbing Rope leash.

I will say that this is a very attractive leash. Although it is listed as "recycled," you would never know because the rope looks brand new, without any signs of wear or dirt. The designs and colors are very stylish and will definitely get attention. The build quality is very high. When I first looked at it, I thought "I could make this myself." Although it is a very simple design, since the handle is just made by creating a loop and then stitching it closed, the stitching is very strong and is not going to come apart easily.

If you are debating which leash to get, due to the extra weight of the leash, I think the 6' leash is going to be too long for most people, and it will drag on the ground. I'll use mine for trail hiking when I want to give my dog a little more room, but otherwise, I prefer the 4' (which is still a bit long), and the 2' when I want to keep my dog close.

I have a 2 of these leashes. A two foot lead that is only available on there website and the six foot leash found here. The quality is impeccable. They are about the most stylish leashes you can find. The only think I would say is that due to the ropes heavier nature it can drag on the ground pretty easily. My chow/shepherd is really well behaved and the six foot is too long. There is usually allot of slack in it, and if I do not double it up it drags. If I were to do it over I would get the 4. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a dog that could outwork this leash.
Overall, I love the leash and I do not think I will ever need to buy another leash. Although I probably will at some point so that I can have a different color.

This is the first online review I have written. I buy a lot online, and decided that after this purchase I need to write a review. I gave this to a family member with a mastiff, and this will last forever. They absolutely love it, and stated that it is the best leash they ever had. No more destroying leashes. If you are looking at this, you are in the need of a leash. Just add to cart and buy it.

As a bonus, my pup doesn't seem interested in eating it (he destroyed his previous leash). I definitely like it, and love the color.

We go through many leashes (our dog is a chewer) and this is my favorite one. He hasn't managed to chew through it yet, though not for lack of trying, so you know it's durable. It's also easy and comfortable to hold and looks stylish. It's not heavy, yet is strong. We've gotten compliments on it.

EDIT: Ok, he chewed through one. But it lasted way longer than any other leash, and I immediately ordered another one because I couldn't stand the feel of normal nylon leashes after being spoiled by the ergonomics of this one.

I purchased this leash because my young dog proved she could chew through a flat leash in only a minute or two. As advertised this is quite durable. She could still chew through it but it would take a lot longer - long enough for me to stop her in the act. I love the fact that it is an up-cycled product. After about 6 months though the clasp has become unreliable. I don't see how it happens but too frequently the leash just mysteriously comes off her collar. I think it happens when she pulls excessively such as when she's after a squirrel. I'll purchase another though if Krebs starts to use a different clasp.

While this leash is cool looking, incredibly light, and arrived quickly I wouldn't recommend this leash for big dogs (over 75 lb) or if your dog is even a slightly puller on walks. I got the leash to try for my working dog (85 lb Dutch Shepherd) and although the lead has a bit stretching to it, unless your dog does a perfect heel better order some quality gloves to wear as you'll end up with rope burns in your palms, also being that it is tubular it slides really easy making it difficult to get a grip on it. Probably going to find another use for this leash (tie down strap?) and go back to my ROK STRAPS leash as it is perfect and absorbs any shock really good.

Best dog leashes EVER! I don't have to worry about it fraying or falling apart. It does not feel flimsy or generic like most leashes. Very Solid!
