The add and the box stated square head screws, but they are combo and don't hold on the driver as well.

I have found multiple uses for these screws, other than the typical pocket holes used to join a face frame together. I was glad when I found this on Amazon because my local home improvement stores are usually out of the coarse screws, and defintely do not carry this many.

They are screws for a specific function. Does what it supposes to. A bit expensive but cannot find any other alternatives.

Just received these screws, and they are fine, except they do NOT have a bronze finish as written in the product description. The screws I received have a shiny zinc coating, and do not appear to be as high quailty as every other Kreg screw that I have seen. I will most likely be returning these and ordering a smaller box in hopes of getting the standard bronze finish.

the product works pretty good for harder woods and is pretty hot for face frames. If you are joining plywood you may have the same issues I have had. The screws pull through the ply and poke out the seconf piece and that pretty much ruins and destroys the panel. The srcrew sselection process seem to produce screws thst sre to long snf holes that are drilled to deep. The resulting joint is not even close to the strength or looks of a mortise and tennon

So nice to have a self-tapping screw head with my Kreg jig. Saves loads of time in assembly. And for the money, this box full was well-worth it.

As a general note on these screws, the "coarse" vs. the hardwood finer toothed screws really do work better in their respective woods if you are going to use these without pre-drilling. If you do not pre-drill, using the coarse in a harder wood sometimes still leads to splitting.

Just getting into woodworking a couple years ago, it was pretty overwhelming when thinking about all the different types of joinery that i'd have to learn. But things are made SO much simpler with pocket holes. Virtually all of the diy plans online use pocket holes and these are what you need.

They are much cheaper buying them in bulk here, then in the store.

Don't go for the knock off screws if you have a Kreg Jig. Well, you can, but just remember that these were specifically designed for the Kreg Jig and they will end up fitting and working better than the knock-offs. Plus if you buy a box this big, you are reducing your unit cost and you probably will not need to buy another box of these things for a long time.

This screw is for the standard size pocket holes. Don't attempt to use sheet rock or deck screws as they have a countersink and will split the wood. Costs a little more but well worth it. Check the screw size chart for the correct length for different thicknesses or types of wood.Kreg R3 Jr. Pocket Hole Jig System

The Kreg Joinery System ROCKS!!! It is the best way to join wood that I've found. The case hardened steel screws are the hingepin of the system and they're strong and very sharp. They're the best screw in the market place today! Dr. Touchton.
