These washer head screws are fantastic. They clamp the parts tightly without splitting the wood. They run in fast and easy. Wherever you have a pocket hole application, or wherever you don't mind a visible screw head (not countersunk, although they could be counterbored), use a washer head screw for maximum clamping. Oh, and I haven't broken any off yet, like many other screws.

I have become a fan of the Kreg system and have used the smaller screw sizes in a couple of projects now.

These longer Blue-Kote screw were ordered for an outdoor project, a little shed to store the stuff that is now scattered all over the place. This was, of course, an outdoor project and is made with 2X4s, so the 2.5" weather resistant screws were selected.

The longer screws are no harder to use than the shorter ones. Despite using an impact driver (which is a very good tool for this fastening system), no screws were broken or stripped. They are obviously high quality. Most of us have used cheap-brand screws that are just are too soft and easily broken.

It remains to be seen how long the screws will last, whether the "Blue-Kote" stands up. I used redwood and pressure-treated wood and they can be tough on metal fasteners, but I have faith that Kreg uses a quality coating.

Also, as a bonus, these screws can be used as surface-mount, non-pocket fasteners, whenever that flat head configuration would be useful. The blue ones would look cool on some projects.

Perfect for outdoor projects involving 2x4 lumber. I just built the best gate I've ever seen... not a bit of rack in it and the filled pocket-screw holes look perfect. It's almost a shame to paint the gate and hide that great work!

These are the perfect depth/length for 2x4s.

We have been using these to build our chicken coop door frames and they work great. These screws, along with our drilling fixture, made otherwise difficult joints a snap. To avoid splitting, we learned to pay attention to the wood grain direction on the second piece.

I use these screws for general wood working as well as with my Kreg jig. They really work well since their flat head does not tend to split the wood like dry wall screws do. Also the course thread gives good "bite" in softer wood.

I bought these screwed based on another buyers review. He stated that he used them to join 2x4's and they worked great. This is exactly what I planned to do with them. I also planned to use them along with my Kreg R3 pocket hole jig. The first screw i ran didn't even change the tone of driver because it stripped so fast. Knowing what happened, I set the torque on my driver to its lowest setting hoping that the chuck will tripout before the screw stripped. Still no success. I can see the 2x4's pull together then they immediately strip. Visually, it looks like the threat isn't broad enough. Perhaps I'm using too long of a screw. Either way, they shouldn't strip like they do. The only plus side I see to these screws is the square driver head. The bit rarely strips.

Used for deck railing, redwood 2x4 rail to redwood 4x4 post, the pocket holes with these screws made a solid joint that will be sturdy for a long long time.

Used these to pocket screw rafters and such during the construction of my shed. They don't look all that thick, but they hold like crazy! Amazing how much of a difference they make as opposed to toe nailing boards together.

Kreg screws, they are the best. Use these with the Kreg pocket hole set and they work perfectly! Excellent product and I highly recommed them.

These screws are pricy, but good screws for outdoor projects, such as Adarondak Chairs for the back yard. They are a coarse thread that is somewhat self tapping when used in pocket hole construction. 250 screws for this price is high, by my standards, as a regular construction screw will work, and a zinc coated screw will provide enough weatherproof and corrosion proof to suffice. Kreg could find it in their hearts to make them more competitive and affordable for use or loose business to other screws that really can be used for this purpose just fine.
