I purchased the Kreg Master System and thought the DVD would be a good addition since I hadn't done pocket holes before. Much to my disapointment the DVD turned out to be more of a sales pitch than a tutorial on Kreg's system. In my opinion the DVD should have been included in the Master System. I wouldn't recommend this Video.

This 26 minute video is focused on describing a *project*, not a *tool*. It very quickly shows how to build a cabinet with a Kreg 2000 and in an "oh by the way" sort of way shows how the jig is used. I don't think the video ever stops to focus on the tool, how it works, how to accomplish special things with it, or anything else that is tool-focused.

As another reviewer said, this is a piece of marketing material and should be included for free with the jig.

This DVD was VERY DISAPOINTING. I do highly recommend the Kreg Trim Carpentry DVD Kreg V07-DVD The Pocket Hole Solution to Trim Carpentry and Kreg Router Table DVD Kreg V06-DVD-Pocket Hole Joinery DVD, Building a Router Table. You will learn more about the Kreg Pocket hole system and techniques by purchasing the other DVDs and then adapting the techniques to your application.

Not very impressed. Didn't learn anything that couldn't be gathered from the instruction manual.

I don't own a Kreg jig (yet) and wanted to see what it could do. This was a very good demo of its capabilities, using a cabinet as the project being built. The DVD quaility is good, and the process is clear. After viewing the DVD, I am seriously considering purchasing a Kreg jig. I've always told sales people that if they just demonstrate their product's capabilities then it will sell itself. Don't give me words, SHOW ME! This DVD did just that.

I suppose if you already had a Kreg jig and were expecting lots of new info, you might be disappointed. It doesn't show cabinet design, layout, wood selection, etc, but that has already been covered by others. I'm mainly intrested in what the jig can do, not watch someone run a board through a planer. I found it a great sales tool for those of us that don't own a Kreg jig and are on the fence about making a purchase.

Speaking of sales tools, it would be pretty effective for Kreg to have these videos for FREE on their website, as a means of educating folks about what their jig can do. (I'm in the market for a dovetail jig, and the Leigh site has a KILLER selection of on-line videos that demo their jigs.) If Kreg did the same thing I think they would see a decrease in $10 DVD sales and an increase in $139 jig sales.

If you want to learn techniques on the Kreg system DON'T buy this DVD. It's a video of a guy building a cabinet, not anything on the finer points of using the tool. I should have read the other reviews first. Kreg should pull this product.

My wife gave me this as a gift. She meant well, so I appreciate it.

But this DVD is worthless. Waste of money. Con job. I like Kreg tools, but they need to get out of the DVD business. I don't see why they want to screw over their customers like this. I feel like my wife just paid $10 for me to see some low budget infomerical. Wait a minute, the infomerical would actually have more information.

Even a total newbie would be better off getting his information elsewhere.

I agree with the other reviewer: SHAME ON YOU KREG. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME. You saw the chance to make a quick buck and didn't care if you screwed us over. If I ever meet the CEO of Kreg, this DVD is going to be shoved up a very dark place on his person.

This video is a let down. Don't get me wrong, I love the Kreg Jig and using pocket hole joinery. I have built several bookcaes,and other cabinets with face frames, but never have I attemted to build cabinet doors. This video shows you how to build everything but what I consider the hardest part - THE CABINET DOOR! In the video he says "we build the door using pocket screws too" and that's all you get. Very disapointing.

This video shows you how to make and assemble a cabinet using just the kreg jig and normal shop toos like a table saw to make well built cabinets.

It's amazing how simple and fast they are able to create a cabinet in this video. But, from a few smaller projects I've done and used the Kreg pocket hole jig. It does greatly speed up building things because you don't loose hours clamping and gluing up parts and waiting for the glue to try before starting the next section.

With the Kreg jig, you simple drill the pocket holes, add some glue to certain parts and screw it together. The only draw back to this video format is they tell you about the design as they build it. There is no PDF file or anything with any sample plans to review.

Let me say at the outset that I love the Kreg jigs. I own one of the master sets and use it all time. In fact, it's one of the most-used tools in my shop. It's a testament to Kreg's jigs that the company has become virtually synonymous with pocket hole tools, although a variety of companies produce them.

That said, this DVD is nothing more than a brief demo. It may be worthwhile if you've never seen a pocket hole jig used, but you'll get just as much out of a 10 minute in-person demo at your local Woodcraft or woodworking show.

By the way, referencing comments in a few other reviews - my copy of this DVD WAS free when I purchased my jig.
