5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! Best Stand Ever - Everyone should have one!
I have to say it again - WOW! It was always a pain in the neck to get our Christmas tree in the stand. We procrastinated getting rid of our old stand because it had such a large water reservoir, but after Christmas last year I researched stands and found excellent reviews for this one - plus it had a 2.5 gallon reservoir.

Well, we just got finished...

The stand sounds great, but it broke upon first use. After telephone the various Customer Support numbers with the supplier and manufacturer, I was told the stand would be replaced and I should ship it back to distributor. Well, we just got finished putting our tree in the stand - I never would have believed it, but I think it took less than 1 minute!! You just place the trunk in the center and crank the foot pedal and it's done! I tried to shake the tree and it wouldn't budge. The company recommends getting a padlock for safety, but since my children are older, I feel very comfortable with the stability of this stand. We filled it with water (a lot of it!)and the "bobber" floated up to a red line that indicates the basin is full. No more sticking my finger in the base. It's a wonderful thing :) Happy Holidays!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best stand ever!, October 11, 2007

My husband and I always snapped at each other while trying to put up the tree in our old-fashioned Christmas tree stand (the screw type), which are awful. The tree was never straight or secure. Now that we're using the Krinner stand, it's a snap to put up the tree - and we haven't argued during our tree installation since we started using it 3 years ago!

5.0 out of 5 stars Took the Grinch out of Christmas, December 13, 2007
This review is from: Krinner Christmas Tree Genie XXL Christmas Tree Stand (Kitchen)
We purchased this tree stand last night to replace a three year old plastic stand. Our old stand used 8 long screws that would hold the tree upright at the base. The problem with that was that you would have to take great care to tighten them all a little at a time as you move around the base of the tree. No small task when you are laying under a tree while someone else is trying to hold the tree still. The old tree stand never failed to stress me out, and I was never totally sure that the tree was as upright as it could be.
With our new click tree stand the tree was upright and secure in less than one minute. I was simply amazed. And the base without water felt secure, however it was rock solid when I added four gallons of water to it. This product will keep me from dreading next years tree trimming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous tree stand, November 30, 2006

This stand is awesome. We bought this after fighting yet another year with our old 4-bolts stand. The tree we cut down had a wide truck that went off at a slight angle. We simply cut a flat bottom on the tree, and the stand successfully grip the slanted trunk. Very impressive, and it went up in seconds. Check out the XL version for a slightly smaller base. There are also more reviews there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Tree Stand!!!, December 5, 2007

This tree stand is the best I have ever used.
- The water level indicator - normal stands don't have this and in order to check the water level you have to crawl under the tree or reach under and dip your fingers into the bowl. This stand has a little float that pushes up a red indicator and visually identifies the water level.
- The clamping mechanism - normal stands you have to twist and twist and twist the bolts until you get it positioned where you want and secured. This one has a foot operated lever that you just pump up and down with your foot. As you are doing this, you are holding the tree straight up and down. The clamps automatically adjust to the tree securing it and keeping it straight. Awesome design!!

Highly recommended! (and Oh, did I mention....I put the 8 foot tree up by myself with this stand)

5.0 out of 5 stars The ONLY Christmas Tree Stand to own.... THE BEST!, December 20, 2007
Yes, it IS true. Fast, Easy, Steady and NO FUSS.

For years I've bothered with the wobbly screw-in versions.... "a little to the left, a little to the right.." We put the tree into the stand, pumped the arms in and the tree stood straight and firm the first time in under 1 minute!

The natural green base is easy to hide under a skirt and not bulky nor obtrusive.

A tip: put a small piece of wood in the hole beneath the red locking mechanism on the handle to ENSURE no accidental unlocking.

At $70 it is a bargain... I saw the stand for $129.99 at a nursery... even at that price it's worth EVERY penny.
Merry Christmas!

5.0 out of 5 stars Forget about other stands!, December 8, 2008

I purchased this stand because I remember my family in Germany using a similar design. Incidentally, this stand is also manufactured in Germany - and the quality is very good. The best thing about this Christmas tree stand though is how it works. Forget about all the other stands that require you to tighten screws repeatedly to get the tree to stand straight. With this one, all you need is to hold up the tree straight and press down on the foot pedal until the teeth are tightly around the trunk. We got this year's tree last Saturday and got the tree up within 1 minute. Literally! It's amazing! It also holds a large amount of water and the water level indicator is very helpful in preventing spills onto the carpet.

An excellent product! One thing to mention though: This stand is larger than I anticipated. It can hold trees up to 12 feet high. At first I was worried the base would show under our 7 foot tree but it turns out it's hardly visible at all. So no concern there either.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lots of water...on the floor, December 12, 2007
By
I have had this stand for two seasons now. Last night I awoke to the tree falling over with the stand and the huge reservoir of water being dumped out on the carpet. Ratcheting mechanism had loosened even though foot lever was still locked down in place. Looking elsewhere the morning there are other reviwers that have had same problem. Now the tree has to be moved so the carpet can be cleaned and dried.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for non perfect trees, December 3, 2007
Our family always purchase a tree permit, take our snowmobiles and head up in to the Colorado Forest to find our tree. Although this part of the trip is always a blast, the problem has always been back at the home getting the tree to stand up. We always end up with a tree that is too big and never really to straight. This has resulted in the tree fallen over in the middle of the night and/or wire strung around the living room to keep the tree stable. Last year, 2006, I decided that has got to be a better soultion. I found the Krinnels stand and wrapped it and put it under the wired tree so I would at least have it for 2007. Just put up the new crooked tree with my new stand and it was great. It doesn't help the bare spots or the bad top, but the tree is not fallen over and the entire experience has been greatly improved. Thanks Krinnel for a better mouse trap.
