5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, I would recommend it to everyone., December 29, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Kristy and the Copycat (Baby-Sitters Club) (Paperback)
My favorite book is Kristy and the Copycat, by AnnM. Martin. Kristy started the babysitter club and she had an idea thatshe would start a club where someone could call one phone number and reach a group of babysitters. Kristy also started a softball team for children that could not play on any other team. Kristy and the Copycats is about Kristy and her stepsister copying her because of her admiration for Kristy. At first, Kristy loves the attention, but how long can it go on before Kristy tires of having a shadow? I loved reading about Kristy's new ideas and unusual situations that she gets herself into. I would recommed the Babysitter's Club to everyone.

Karen adores her big step-sister. At first Kristy thinks this is funny, but then realizes that when someone looks up to you so fiercely, you have a responsibility as a role model, and when she does something bad, she doesn't want Karen to find out. Overall a pretty good book, even if Karen could be a pest at times.

Out of the series, this book is just ok. It is about Kristy and her little step sister. Karen. Karen wants to be just like Kristy. Kristy thinks it is sweet at first, but then she just gets sick of it. Over all this is an cute book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book that I would recommend to anybody!, June 5, 1999

This review is from: Kristy and the Copycat (Baby-Sitters Club) (Paperback)
It's about Kristy Thomas who formed a club called the baby-sitter's club. When Kristy signs up for the softball club at Stoneybrook Middle School(SMS)She finds a couple of friends, but the rest of the team doesn't like her and are making her and her friends do bad things to stay in the softball club. Her stepsister Karen looks up to Kristy more than anybody, and lately she's been copying everything that Kristy does. But when Kristy get's caught in a huge scheme, this is something she never wants Karen to copy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book!!, August 9, 1998

This review is from: Kristy and the Copycat (Baby-Sitters Club) (Paperback)
I thought Kristy and They Copycat was GREAT. Although the title should be changed because the title explains about 20% of the story. Kristy wants to try out for the SMS softball team and the other girls who have been on it for a long time lie to Kristy and 3 other girls and tell they have to do an initiation. Their assignment is to spray paint a shed. Well, you should read it to find out the rest. It's what I call a "hilly" book because it has a lot of climaxes.

4.0 out of 5 stars alright, July 18, 2005
A Kid's Review
the book doesn't deal that much with karen copying kristy and I don't recall a karen book about this from karen's point of view, maybe that kind of book would have been more of the main plot. This book should have been titled about kristy and the softball team at SMS and all the initiation.
