5.0 out of 5 stars Very good story
Kirsty has moved to a new neighborhood. She thinks the kids there are snobs. Shannon is a "snob" acording to kritsy. Then they make up and find that they are NOT SNOBS! Ver good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought
The title of this book sounded good to me when I was in 6thgrade. It was pretty entertaining, and interesting. Kristy is good athandling snobs. However, I went from one private school to the next in grade school, on and off, and 7th grade and those kids aren't always snobs. Sure they worry about dumb stuff like the cars you drive (at least the teenagers do) but not all...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, April 13, 2005
When Kristy meets her new neighbor, Her neighbors are not friendly, in fact...they are snobs. They always laugh at everything. they even laugh at Kristy's poor collie. Kristy is getting mad. Kristy and THE BSC must teach them a lesson!

4.0 out of 5 stars Kristy and the Snobs, January 7, 2005
A Kid's Review

This book is about a girl named Kristy whose mother just got married to a guy named Watson. Kristy and her family are just settling in with Watson and his mansion. The neighborhood was not what Kristy had in mind. The girls in her neighborhood are snobs!

The snobs make fun of Kristy and her dog Louie. Louie recently got arthritis and is now going blind. Kristy just can't take this much longer but, her friends always come through for her and help her along the way. Throughout all that has been happening Kristy still manages to keep babysitting. She is also stays in the babysitting club with her friends.

I thought Kristy and the Snobs is a really good book to read. It teaches you a few lessons along the way. One I think were "endings can just be a start of a beginning." I really liked this book because it has some of all of the feelings in it. I can't wait to read some more of Ann m. Martin's books; she is a great writer and enjoys it. She encourages me to keep writing for fun and enjoyment.

I hope that you enjoy this as you read. Also I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big changes for Kristy, October 3, 2011

You could see this as an sort of extension from book 6, 'Kristy's Big Day' as she adjusts to life in her new neighborhood. Stepdaddy is rich, so the neighborhood is quite different, and Kristy has a whole new set of neighbors to deal with, including the aforementioned snobs. Fortunately though, things work out in the end.

However, I went from one private school to the next in grade school, on and off, and 7th grade and those kids aren't always snobs. Sure they worry about dumb stuff like the cars you drive (at least the teenagers do) but not all of them are rich. It has nothing to do with wealth. Some of the kids I went to private school had maybe one pair of jeans and one pair of shoes, and a few second-hand shirts. That's it. Some of them were snobs though--the rich kids who get driven to school in Mercedes Benz. Another thing: Kristy and her family should've kept Louie's collar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nobody's gonna tell Kristy what to do--especially the Snobs!, February 24, 2000
By A Customer
Kristy's mom got married again last summer and now Kristy and her family live in a new neighborhood. The kids aren't very friendly. In fact, they're...well, snobs. They criticize Kristy's clothes. They make fun of the Baby-sitters Club. And worst of all, they laugh at Louie, Kristy's pet collie, who's going blind. Nobody does that and gets away with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting & poignant at once!, February 9, 2000
By A Customer
Poor Kristy! She had a rocky start in her new neighborhood when some of the local kids turn out to be snobs & make fun of Kristy & the BSC. It must have been awful for Kristy when Shannon & her gang pointed at Kristy by the bus stop & ridiculed & humiliated her. I don't know if I would have been so quick to welcome Shannon into the BSC. Shannon's initial behavior kind of turned me off. The sad part when Louie the dog had to be put to sleep illustrated how painful it is to lose a pet. It was good that Kristy had that good cry then had the funeral for her dog. I know she really loved Louie.
