A good buy for making good coffee,

This review is from: Krups 46842 Moka Brew 8-cup Coffeemaker w/ Milk Frother (Electronics)
I have the Krups coffee maker and I have a similar frother. I did not buy them as a pair. However I am a return shopper for this coffee maker. It makes very good coffee. I bought it after reading many very helpful reviews about the quality of the coffee and the ease of making it. I agree wholeheartedly. We used it many times a day for about 3 years and nut at the top of the pot rusted through and the basket at the top started to get old. I was trying to find a replacement part but decided to buy a new coffee maker. And I bought the same coffee maker a second time. I don't usually do that and I think that I was willing to rebuy it says a great deal. It don't last forever but it makes very good coffee. As for the milk frother, whipped milk is not the same as steamed milk. If I had a way to make steamed milk that was this easy I would pay any amount of money. BUT...to make good steamed milk you have to spend a good deal of time cleaning out a noozle that will get clogged and not give you good steamed milk. Whipped milk (heated in the microwave is fast, and looks just like the "real thing." Frothed milk is to steamed milk as concentrate orange juice is to fresh pressed juice. The former fits busy life styles and the latter is a great treat to have at restaurants. Ok...I returned the favor of the amazon people who reviewed this coffee maker for me... |
