With a simple locking maneuver, this hand mixer becomes a stand mixer--complete with a 3-1/2-quart plastic bowl. At 240 watts, the mixer is not as powerful as a regular stand mixer, but it's more powerful than most hand mixers and plenty powerful enough to knead up to 3-1/2 pounds of dough. Three features ensure ingredients are thoroughly mixed. First, the bowl locks onto its stand and rotates automatically. Second, the bowl tilts to concentrate ingredients along one side. Finally, a removable spatula snaps into place beside the beaters or dough hooks (both included) to continuously scrape ingredients from the bowl's sides as it rotates. The mixer has a continuous variable-speed button for precise work, a soft-start setting to prevent splattering, and a turbo button for extra power when needed.
