If you're looking for a *replacement* carafe and already own the coffee-maker then you probably already know this, but in case you don't then be aware that this model has a "dribble" problem.

Especially when the carafe is full, the coffee tends to overflow either side of the spout and run down the side of the carafe onto the table/counter/floor/etc.

The carafe looks nice, but too much consideration was given to aesthetics and not enough to functionality.

This carafe is too fragile. I like the underlying Krups but after too many broker carafes I went with a nice Melitta at my office and another nice Krups (with a better carafe design) in my kitchen.

Also, early versions of this carafe woul dribble.

And the cost of this carafe is outrageous compared to carafes made by Krups or others.

There are other nice coffee machines that make good coffee and don't have a fragile carafe.

Buy another machine with a better carafe. Buy another Krups if you like but avoid this carafe.

My old Krup's 589-42 Carafe had a dribble problem. As I looked to buy a replacement, I read that other people had the same problem. Problem fixed! I guess Krups heard us. No more dribble. The cover fits nicely. I need to get a life.

The carafe pot was decent, but the black removable top does not fit on it. It's loose and comes off very easily unless your hand is holding it down at all times. Slight inconvenience but other than that not too bad!

I accidentally shattered my husbands old coffee carafe. He loved his coffee maker and was very happy when I was able to find a replacement carafe instead of buying an entire new set up. The lid on this seems to be more snug than our original carafe, but that could be from years of use on the old one. We make sure we hear a click when placing the lid on here before turning on the coffee maker.

The price was right on this, BUT I had to measure out each cup and mark the "cup numbers" as this carafe comes with no numbers on it. When THIS one breaks (it already has a little crack in it), we will buy a whole new coffee maker.

I am so glad amazon still sells this coffee pot. I have the krups coffee maker which is an older style coffee maker but I will not give it up, Makes the best coffee.

So as long as they still sell this pot I will continue to buy it!!!

My original carafe had the dribble problem which my wife fixed by breaking the carafe. Four broken ones later...she likes to drop things while doing the dishes...I have found that some dribble some don't. I purchased two of these and neither are the dribble type (which I believe has to do with the angle of the pouring lip). Also, des[ite one of the previous reviews, these do have the cup marking on the side. Over all very pleased. Hopefully, the two I purchased last awhile.

This is a hard-to-find item, but this one is IT. This is the "original" Krups carafe WITH measurements on the side. Very happy. Not much more to say other than super fast shipping.

The one and only place I was able to find a replacement for my carafe. I went from store to store and no one had one. Of course Amazon did- and I was quite happy.
