5.0 out of 5 stars Excellant Product
I own the Krups coffee machine and this filter is excellant for filtering your water prior to brewing the coffee. I have had problems finding replacements but am pleased to see that amazon is carrying them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Krups coffee maker filter
Let me get this straight - 2 filters for $15? Who do they think they are, Hewlett-Packard selling print cartridges??? The coffee pot works just fine (actually BETTER) without a filter. You can buy a Brita filter pot and pre-filter your water if it needs it, for a lot less money than $7.50 each for the Krups solution. Like P.T. Barnum, said, there's one born every...

5.0 out of 5 stars If You Have Never Replaced Your Filter..., October 3, 2005

... Do it now! The filter hidden in the bottom of the water resivour is a necessary item that can be easy to overlook. About two weeks ago it just popped into my head that the filter was coming up for it's recommended change-out, so I ordered a replacement pack.

My jaw about dropped when I saw the filth and garbage that would have made it into my beloved morning coffee had it not been for this small packet of charcoal. Seriously, it was very gross. If you have the Krups, get the filters. If you live in a third-world trash-dump, change them often.

Excellent service by seller. The product was shipped promptly with no problems. The filters (two in package) are the original accessory as manufactured by or for Krups (not an aftermarket substitute), so no review on the filter itself is intended.

I have an older model of a Krups auto drip coffee maker. You can't find these filters in any stores. I was thinking of buying a new coffee maker because my coffee wasn't tasting right. I wanted to see if buying a new filter was all I needed or a new coffee maker. The filter works and I am happy. The price was good but, the shipping cost was higher than the cost of the filters.

Arrived as promised in good condition. Old one was ready for replacement after 3 mos with pre-filtered water. Haven't tried using without it but coffee stays good longer than old coffee maker. Will be ordering more shortly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must need for coffee maker, January 17, 2010
This review is from: Krups 594-00 Charcoal Water Filters (Kitchen)
I noticed that the brewing time is lengthened if you don't change the filters every 6 months or so-- I was ordering them off the Krups website, but they are on back order. Was glad to find them on amazon -- at a cheaper price too! It may seem like a lot of money, but when you consider how long they last -- its not so bad (I brew at least one pot or more of coffee a day)

5.0 out of 5 stars These really DO make your coffee better!, February 19, 2009
This review is from: Krups 594-00 Charcoal Water Filters (Kitchen)
My morning coffee is important to me. But lately, no matter what brand I bought (and I tried quite a few), they all tasted like muddy water. Someone suggested I needed to replace the charcoal filter in my Krups coffeemaker. After reading up on the subject, I felt it was definitely worth a try. Having recently received my order of replacement filters, I am a TRUE believer in the necessity of filtering the chlorine (and whatever else) out of your water prior to making the coffee. If my old coffeemaker keeps going, I will definitely be purchasing more replacement filters in the future.
