One appliance that will really make itself useful!,

This was purchased less than a month ago primarily for making baby food, but already I have used it for other things. Some of the reasons it was purchased instead of other brands are: most of the attachments store inside the bowl, Krups has a great reputation, and good experience with other Krups products. Compared to Cuisinart and Kitchen-Aid, it is a better bargain. Since I have begun to use it, I've found that cleaning up is very quick and easy, it is super-fast, and very thorough, and using it is almost fun. There are 2 speeds, and a pulse button. It isn't complicated to master. Not that we lead drab lives, but my husband actually has come into the kitchen when it's on to see it in action (this is our first processor). The results when it chopped nuts, pureed vegetables, and shredded cheese were very satisfactory. I purchased the optional juicer attachment, and loved the way it made orange juice. The recipe book that comes with it is rather short & simple, but I'm sure that we aren't going to run out of ways to use this handy appliance. I recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing a processor for family use (2 to 4 people). The bowl holds 8 cups, and it doesn't take up much counter space (the cord even stores out of sight underneath). I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this processor over a year ago from Amazon and still love it! It's mechanically simple to master and cleans up nicely - even in the dishwasher. Anyone who buys this won't regret it. The only problem I can forsee is ordering parts from Krups. Big pain in the neck because of the back order thing.

Nice product.,

I bought this food processor solely based on the brand name reputation. And luckily I am not disappointed. I have used it twice so far - once to mash chick peas for falafel, and once to chop veggies, and the machine handled it very well. The chopping was not a problem but I was afraid that the motor would not be able to handle the sticky chick peas. But it did thanks to its powerful electric motor.

I have had my Krups for over 2 years. I bought it sight-unseen online because of Krups's good reputation and because the pieces all store inside the bowl, which is wonderful in our tiny kitchen. It is easy to clean and neat to store.
I make a lot of fresh soups. In fact, we have soup every day, and a different kind of soup each day. This means a lot of chopping, slicing, and pureeing, all of which the Optipro does wonderfully. I use it every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, and it always comes through for me. I am not interested in baking, but I think that if I were, I would not have chosen this machine. But for my needs and for the price, this is one fantastic piece of equipment.

I am new to the world of food processors and bought this based on the reputation of the brand name. I find this item very difficult to use. It has 2 speeds, supersonic and ultra-super sonic, and it "walks" across the table on either speed. The main unit vibrates to the point where it rotates out of the slot and shuts down the machine. The top spindle came out of its slot and damaged the cover.
The instructions are not very beginner friendly. They basically have these cute little pictures that illustrate all the different ways to assemble it. As a novice, it's not intuitive to me that assembly style #1a would be for puree and #3b would be for grating cole slaw, etc. I'm very unhappy with this product.

The Krups OptiPro Food Processor is the best! This food processor makes the chore of chopping, grating and slicing a quick and easy experience. This machine grates a block of cheese in seconds not to mention how easy it makes chopping an onion! It is easy to use and to assemble the various attachments that come with it. The greatest thing is that all of the attachments store inside the Smart Bowl for easy storage. Very easy to clean.
