If counter space isn’t an issue, this Orchestro espresso/cappuccino/latte maker is an excellent way to bring the barista experience home. This large pump espresso machine has an advanced ThermoBloc system with 15 bars of pressure to consistently deliver delicious espresso drinks. The Orchestro has its own built-in grinder with six different grind positions so coffee always tastes freshly ground. Additionally, Krups instills the Orchestro with its Ultra Aroma system, which extracts just enough of the bitterness from coffee beans to ensure full-bodied flavor and aroma and produce a beautiful crema. Easy-to-use controls mounted on the front of the machine let you set brewing to one or two cups and to normal or strong flavor and adjust the water volume to your preference. Other electronic control panel functions automatically illuminate to notify you when it is time to refill the water tank (located in an easy-to-reach spot on the left side of the coffee machine), dispose of used grounds in the coffee container, or do a full cleaning and descaling on the unit. Once preferences are set, coffee begins brewing with the push of a button. The dispenser is adjustable to the height of your coffee cups to prevent splashing and, for cappuccino and latte drinkers, the steam nozzle froths milk to perfection. For safety, this espresso and coffee machine has an automatic shut-off feature. The Orchestro may be a little intimidating to operate at first but comes with a detailed manual and video to get new owners up to speed. The machine comes with a coffee scoop, two packets of descaling powder, and two cleaning tablets and is covered by a limited one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde
