This is the comment I get when people see my toaster. I've owned this toaster for about 3 years and I still LOVE this thing! All of the great features that I love:

1) Nice enough and small enough to keep out on the counter.

2) DIGITAL TIMER! How many times do you want to know how long it's gonna take for your toast to be done because you don't want to sit and wait?

3) Toasts your bagels and hamburger buns only on the inside.

4) There is both a reheat and defrost option, both come in handy.

5) Turn the handle to left and it raises small pieces of toast (English Muffins) so you can get them out easily.

6) There is a convenient tray at the bottom that pulls out to empty the crumbs.

This toaster looks great and works awesome! It's funny to be so enthusiastic about a toaster, but this thing is worth it!

I've been extremely pleased with my Krups FEM3B 2-slice toaster. I struggled deciding between it and the 4-slice because I have 3 boys. However, it only takes a little over a minute to toast 2 pieces, so it works out fine to run it several times to feed our family. I prefer having a smaller toaster that's easier to store or keep on your counter than having such a large 4-slice to deal with. That would have been overkill in my opinion. You need to following the instructions about initially running it without toast in it so it will function properly. We've toasted bread, bagels, and english muffins in it all very successfully. I like that it allows you to push the bread up higher when it's done. It easy to use. I'd buy it again and highly recommend it. I've had it for a year now and it was worth the price.

My wife needed a new toaster, and after looking at a few models, we settled on this Krups model. This unit is pricey, but it works great and looks cool. Unlike most toasters, it will compensate for back to back toasting and adjust its toasting time based on the units temp. It has many extras that make it a great toaster.

Very happy with this toaster. Having a LED readout for settings and the timer is surprisingly handy. Well worth the extra money!

English muffins would get stuck in my old toaster and not toast correctly, but that is a thing of the past with the Krups Digital Toaster. The lever works really well to push English Muffins out of the toaster, and I'm able to get the outside toasted with the inside still a bit soft like I like. It's also great to see how much time is left on the digital clock. This toaster is a bit big and a bit expensive, but I think it is worth it for all the high-tech features and extras like the warmer on top. I actually just bought another one as a gift.

I bought it because of the Consumer Reports review of the lesser non-LED model. It makes great toast. I like the way it easily handles odd shaped pieces of bread.

My problem is that that the toasting times do not stay the same for a given setting. Example: for setting #6 the time is sometimes 2 minutes 10 seconds and sometimes it's 1 min. 44 seconds. Of course the toast is not done in the lesser time.

Maybe it's just a flaw in the unit I have. Otherwise it is just fine.

I should have simply repaired our old toaster that worked well, and reliably, for eight years. Too busy, first I bought a Braun toaster (looked great, had major problems actually toasting), then I bought this Krup toaster, and guess what, it looks great but has trouble actually toasting. Starting with the first piece of toast all is well (hence two stars instead of one). However, after the toaster is warmed up, the timing/heat regulation becomes totally useless. You have to toast, toast again, toast again. Fancy digital count-down-timer doesn't help much at that point! In researching toasters, did I mention I should have repaired my old toaster when it broke, I read a review where it was suggested that 'toasters have been around a hundred years, it can't be that hard!' I thought it funny at the time, but having now spent over $150 on two worthless toasters I find myself saying "toasters have been around for over a 100 years, it can't be that hard!" I hope Braun and/or Krup don't make medical devices or we are in trouble.

This toaster is beautiful on your counter, has great features but didn't even come close to an evenly browned piece of bread....at least two to three shades difference on a small piece of toast. I gave up after three weeks and returned it.

This toaster is the best I have ever owned. It's rich looking,It works exactly as I hoped it would.My favorite feature is the way it toasts the bagel.It toasts one side and just warms the other side.I have never seen that in any other toaster. Even my freinds are impressed.One of them even placed an order.

Ok, I really love the toaster but when I stumble into the kitchen early in the morning, I just want to push one button and be assured that the toast turns out well. With this contraption, you have to set the desired browning grade by pushing one of two buttons (+ or -) and then you push down the lever. I love the browning feature for croissants or rolls on the top of the machine and the fact that you don't have an attachment to hunt for or fiddle with before browning. Also love that the toaster accepts bagles without any problems. What I don't like, however, is that the uninitiated houseguest may not have a clue how to use the toaster without a pretty detailed instruction.
