An ideal machine for the espresso enthusiast, easy to use machine produces espresso and froths milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
A rich, creamy shot of espresso is just a switch away with the handsome Krups Espremio. With its Thermobloc technology and 8 bars of pressure, this machine makes especially hot espresso, and quickly. A single function knob makes operation simple. Larger than most, the 27-ounce (0.8-liter) plastic water tank lifts out the top for easy filling, or can even be filled during operation, and provides enough water for constant steaming. Ground coffee is measured and tamped into the shallow metal filter with the provided plastic spoon. While the machine makes only one cup of espresso at a time, the used grounds can be quickly emptied (a latch keeps the metal filter attached to the arm) and refilled for the next cup. For cappuccinos and lattes, milk froths up by means of the steam nozzle that swings out or in, accomodating the vessel size. A thumping noise made by the steam pump may seem a bit disconcerting at first, but is normal. The stainless-steel cup tray and plastic drip pan remove easily for clean-up. The espresso maker measures 8 by 12 inches and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

I"ve had this unit for almost 8 years now and never had a problem with it. We occasionally use it to make a cappuccino or an espresso. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Karan
I love this little machine. I always went to Starbucks for my lattes. If I am off of work I use this machine to save money. It is fun to use, takes a lot of time for triple shots. Read morePublished on December 5, 2009 by Kelli Hansen
This is clearly not a high end machine, but once you get the proper grind of coffee, it makes a decent espresso. Read morePublished on August 13, 2009 by Demetra D. Dunne
I bought a reconditioned unit. It leaked steam at the top badly. Krups was nice enough to have it fixed. Read morePublished on December 24, 2008 by Dorothy G. Siani
It's simple to use and makes an excellent cup of espresso. I don't use the cappuccino feature so I can't rate that.Published on December 28, 2007 by Espresso Lover
This machine surprisingly (for such a small, inexpensive machine) makes a delicious espresso or latte (using Starbucks pre-made pods yields the best results). Read morePublished on August 5, 2007 by R. Davis
I bought this machine 2 years ago with the thought in mind that even if it worked for a while, we could see how much we would actually use an espresso machine and still not have to... Read morePublished on July 27, 2006 by Amazon Customer
I see many people had problems with their steamer going crazy like I did. I called customer service but didn't want to send it in. I unscrewed the machine and took the top off. Read morePublished on July 8, 2006 by C. Shemes
I had my first machine for 5 months - a gift from a friend. When it started to let steam out all over the place, I went out and bought another one. Read morePublished on March 17, 2006 by Jojo
