Compared to a good metallic casing or leather pouch, this case will only provide marginal protection for the device. Aside from that single drawback, it is one of the most accessible/functional and nicely designed/attractive case. The phone with standard battery fits reasonably well, and all the device buttons can be used with relative ease. The clear plastic cover for the screen area has a nice clarity to it (so far), allowing you to see the display easily. You can still use the touch screen with the clear cover on for rudimentary tasks, such as using the phone dialpad. Any action on the touch screen needing higher precision will require the user to unbutton the front flap from the case. Unlike most hardcases, the sync port of this case can be accessed without opening it, a definite plus. Overall, it is a good functional case. Recommended.

It is a very good intent to design a case that tries to allows you to use all the capabilities of your Imate. The plastic is a little hard to write over it, and when you use the on screen keyboard its very dificult activate the letters. They should consider that.
