4.0 out of 5 stars Great Finish when you are finished
This is a great matte finish once you are finished with a project and I do highly recommend it. There is no light reflection or glossy appearance. It is not something to spray on and try to work over easily - it can be done to a point but I would recommend waiting until you are finished with your project before using this spray.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad for sculptures!
I used this to try and get rid of a glossy sheen left by a krylon "matte" varnish, and for some reason the end result was... dusty. I thought it was just the box I had sprayed it in, or perhaps the sculpey maquette I was spraying had somehow accumulated dust by being out too long, but after swabbing everything down with a damp cloth and trying again I realized it was the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad for sculptures!, July 7, 2011

I used this to try and get rid of a glossy sheen left by a krylon "matte" varnish, and for some reason the end result was... dusty. I thought it was just the box I had sprayed it in, or perhaps the sculpey maquette I was spraying had somehow accumulated dust by being out too long, but after swabbing everything down with a damp cloth and trying again I realized it was the spray, and looking online I see other people having that problem as well.

Other places recommend Testor's Dullcote as an alternative (in addition to a few prior base coats of glossy sprays due to them generally being better at protecting).

Swabbing my project down afterward with a damp cloth isn't necessarily back-breaking work, but if you're the very small number of customers looking to use this on a 3D project instead of a flat surface, I would highly recommend going with a different spray.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Pencil and Charcoal, April 23, 2011
I was hesitant to use this product on my delicate charcoal pencil drawings, as other fixatives I've used provided uneven coverage, leaving the drawing slightly smudged, discolored, or otherwise altered. This spray is totally invisible, and one application made the drawings completely smudge proof. I highly recommend!

1.0 out of 5 stars krylon 1311 matte finish, October 26, 2011
Krylon 1311 isn't labeled as a lacquer paint but it is.Don't try to use this over anything but a lacquer paint or it will lift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff for woodturnings!, April 13, 2011

very nice product. dries super fast, faster than spray lacquer. You can spray a heavy coat, and the stuff does not sag. Gives a really nice soft sheen. No need to sand between coats, but a light 0000 Steel wool rubbing works great. The best part is the non sagging. It goes on smooth and neat. Great product, will buy more for my turned bowls.
