I love this high quality scoop. The spring action is sturdy. I learned about using a scoop to make cookies when I worked as a souse chef. While it will make evenly sized cookies that spread (like chocolate chip), it's also great for making attractive cookies that maintain the ice cream scoop shape. It's the perfect size to yield a chewy center.
At first I thought it would be too tight to be comfortable, but it's the total package. Edges are sharp enough to cut through dough, but won't cut you. The spring action releases the dough easily, so cuts down on hand strain. I searched high and wide to replace a cheaper, but perfectly sized scoop that broke. While this one is slightly smaller than what I was looking for, it has worked out perfectly. I'm so glad that Amazon carries this high quality baking product!! |
