This is NOT your grandmother's pressure cooker! It's a space-age design. I have owned this combination pressure cooker and thermal cooker for about 4 years and it is the best piece of cookware I've ever purchased. I thought it would help save me a little time in the kitchen, but it does so much more than that. Not only can I cook a 3 pound roast in 35 minutes, but it is so full of flavor that I never cease to be amazed by what a difference a pressure cooker makes in the flavor of my foods. I can also turn off the heat under the pot when I'm doing thermal cooking and it will finish cooking with the retained heat...what an energy saver. Many of my friends and family have gone out and purchased their own after watching me cook with my durotherm. I'm thinking about getting a larger Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker in the future.

We have three Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers and we use them almost every time we cook - it's the main cookware we use. It's fast, easy, and it saves energy because it takes less time to cook. And the food's great - I like eating at home better than any restaurant.
