These are the best peelers ever made. As a professional chef, I've been using the same Rikon peeler for 6 years. It can still slice off my finger tip, even after the several tons of potatoes, turnips, beets, lemons, oranges, asparagus, apples, and carrots it has peeled. And no one has yet beaten me in the "Who Can Peel Fifty Pounds of Potatoes the Quickest" challenge. My peeler and my chef's knife are the two items no one is ever allowed to touch.

I've been a professional Chef for about 15 years now and nothing comes close to how well these work and how cheap they are. Best peeler for the money you're ever going to find. Only thing I would say is make sure you dry them off completely before putting them away, prone to rust over a long period of time. BUT they wont lose their edge before you lose it or break it. (buy more than one, any cooking friend will want one)

Actually use these in my restaurant. The peeler itself is cheap and flimsy, but surprisingly rugged. It has held up for a good six months so far under heavy use and still peels very well. I have tried all sorts of peelers from the so called 'commerical' ones you buy from restaurant supply places to OXO and kitchen aid, and this holds its own. From a quality to price standpoint, this peeler is top notch.

OXO sells replacement cartridges for its peelers now that may be a better overall bargain..instead of trowing away the peeler, just get new blades.

Best peeler ever, I previuosly owned one but lost it somehow. Stays sharp forever, in fact, don't believe it gets dull ever?!! Totally recommend.

I broke my last peeler Swiss peeler, after many years of service, and was looking high and low in the stores for a replacement. I actually purchased another peeler, that brand they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond, and spent $9.00 on it. What a jerk I am!

This one is by far the best, keeps an edge, has a good feel in your hand and never slips and nicks you.

I bought two, now my estate will have one when I am gone.

This peeler works great, but be careful to dry it our immediately after use, because the blade WILL rust if left with moisture on it.

I love this peeler. I just used it to peel banana squash. It was so easy, I couldn't believe it. I've used it for other squash in the past. It's my "heavy duty" peeler. And since I'm a home cook (3 meals a day, 7 days a week for 4 to 6 people), my knife skills are merely adequate, so the peeler makes my life a lot easier. I wish I'd known about it years before.

The Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Peeler was exactly what I was looking for. It seems to be of good quality. I use this especially when peeling butternut squash, and it works very well. It is good for all vegetables.

Kuhn Rikon makes a very nice peeler, which in my personal opinion is the best! Its design makes it very easy to peel, and comfortable in your hand. The blade is very lasting and peels very neatly. You will not be disappointed, and I didn't buy just one when I bought it. :) We had one for years and got some more because we like them so much!! It is THE BEST peeler!! :)

We were struggling to peel enough potatoes for Thanksgiving when I remembered I had bought a new potato peeler. It worked so much better than either our old peeler or a paring knife that my kids took turns using the Kuhn Rikon peeler. I'm buying two more!
