International rock with a fantastic sound!, September 29, 2005

I stumbled upon this band at Bumbershoot music festival in Seattle. Holy cow, my choices were the united states of electronica (the Stupidest music i've ever seen live) or this random band called Kultur shock. I mean, the lead singer was rapping (do they call it that in Bosnia?) in a Utilikilt (search google, a new seattle trend). The guitar had an incredible sound, the horn section was tight, but together it was totally original. This music is very authentic southern european traditional music combined with system of a down, tool, or something! This album is recorded much cleaner than "F.U.C.C. the INS" and therefore the punchy rhytms these guys put out are much more evident. Their first album is loaded with much more intense mixed meter (ethnic slavic/czech style) which is great! This album is much more straight ahead meter. And the foreign elements of this music are not hokey and comedic - they are just new but awesome in their own way!
