the birds. I think kids will love this book and find it very entertaining.

This is a really great book! I thought it might be too challenging for them at their age, but I guess they pick up on more than I sometimes realize. The illustrations are reminiscent of so many other classic children's books, and they really...illustrate the text. Finally, what a great message. If everyone only did what came naturally and nothing else, who would ever develop a backbone, a work ethic, or experience the joy of growth? This is a great achievement for Boze and a great first step to more like this.

David Boze's first children's book is a gem! This first printing is one you should pick up to enjoy as well as to hold on to. The story of Kumar Joe the Singing Crow is very entertaining and you will probably learn a few things about crows, too. The story instantly draws readers and listeners in...both young and old will enjoy this book. Kumar is a very likable character and his love for music drives the story. The illustrations are excellent....kids will enjoy them for the 'disney-esque' characterization and adults will appreciate the fine artistry. We have 3 boys (6,8 and 10) and they all enjoyed the story. David Boze has found his 'second voice' in the pages of this soon to be classic!

I so enjoy the pace of this book. I love the leisurely way the story unfolds - with humor and the perspective of looking back to tell the story - sort of like the Kipling tale "How the Leopard Got its Spots" - where the author is recounting a tale to his beloved child. Even better, Kumar Joe has real characters and you get to be involved in a darling story with a real message in the end. I loved it!

For me, this book is a heartfelt story about joy, finding your passion and the courage to find your special place with that passion. It is a good read for any age. The story of Kumar Joe is delightful and the added illustrations visually make you fall in love with this characters. The partnership with author David Boze and illustrator Chris Hopkins in this storytelling is clearly a good match!

This delightful book offers beautiful lessons in nature, people skills and coping with our own limitations.

Kumar Joe learns to deal with his boundaries but manages to rebound from dissapointment. A lesson for all of us.

Please notice the illustrations that are so detailed! You can also see something different about each bird.

My three dear grandchildren will really love this book and be learning language skills as well.

Thank you David for a lovely book and keep them coming. Can't wait to hear what mischief that Theophilus might start once again.

This book brings me back to childhood classics that I loved so much. It was a joy to experience from the word choices to the art work that complemented the feeling, but mainly the great message for all to ponder.

Excellent!
