Juvenille delinquent Gucci whose father is long gone discovers upon leaving the Girls' Penitentiary that her mother has also passed away. She must now live with her unorthodox grandmother Wong Fei Hung (Helena Ho). Although Gucci is put off by Wong's old-fashioned way, the old lady's care and affection soon has a positive effect on her granddaughter. Indeed grandma Wong must come to the rescue and show her true colours when Gucci finds herself in danger once again. COMMENT: I find that grandma Wong and Gucci played her roles sensitively and I enjoyed the movie very much. However, if what you are looking for is "continuous kung fu action", then, this movie is not for you. This movie must be appreciated as it is, the affectionate relationship between an old grandma and a young delinquent and how, in her olf fashioned, quiet way, the old grandma turned Gucci to the better.
