5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, easy to follow, good workout for intermediates, August 21, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Kung Fu Step Circuit Workout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I had both of Dorri Li's Kung Fu videos, but this is the only one I kept. The other was hard for me to follow, but this one I was able to work hard and not be frustrated by. The moves are simple with knee ups, kicks, and a few basic Kung Fu moves that are taught. Some of the kicks are high, which made it feel like an intermediate tape, but this would also be good for beginners if they kept them low to start. This workout would be too easy for more advanced exercisers, unless they liked having a light day.

The toning uses either a long piece of tubing, or a set of dumbells. I have a regular exertube, and it worked perfect. Every major muscle group, with the exception of abs, are targeted: biceps, triceps, shoulders from all angles, back. You do pushups after the warmup (2 sets) for the chest, and towards the end of the workout do squats & lunges for the lower body, and they burn!

Some of the music is fun, some is repeated, but the workout is still fun to do. I'd recommend it!

1.0 out of 5 stars No Kung Fu only Step Aerobics, September 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kung Fu Step Circuit Workout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Where's the Kung Fu? Even her husband in the back can't even do a simple kick w/o falling over! There is almost no kung fu instruction or practice whatsoever, maybe literally 2 minutes. The rest is basic boring 90s step aerobics.
