5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Native HD Anime with a budget feel and a famous Voice actor, October 17, 2010
This review is from: Kurokami 3 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Kurokami was produced by Sunrise the people behind Gundam, Code Geass and several other anime shows that have a large fan following. Although unfortunatly I guess this series never got off the ground nor did it become popular. Does it make it a bad show? Absolutely not.

Blu Ray Region A. Languages on disc: English Dub Only. Contains Episodes 9 - 12.

Alhough a beautiful looking series in HD the animation has a rather budget feel when compared to other shows produced in the same year.

The main characters are on vacation in Okinawa. However this isn't the fun filled holiday they were hoping for. Keita encounters a blast from the past. Kuro gets into all kinds of battles.

The purpose and point of the doppel liner system and the point of a root, sub, negative root is revealed in this volume and the actions of Kuros brother. I know it does get kinda confusing keeping up.

This volume has a rather action focused feel to it with an almost non stop trend to battles. For example Steiner and Excel battle Kuros brother. Yakumo voiced by Wil Wheaton from Star Trek/Eureka has his fair share of fights too.

Ending in a cliffhanger this volume doesn't disappoint
Love or hate Kurokami this 4 episodes a release schedule is kinda poor. But all in all its a solid release by Bandai Entertainment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Kurokami series so far, November 21, 2010

This review is from: Kurokami 3 (DVD)
Having seen the entire series, half on Youtube, I was pleased to receive the third installment; It arrived in e reasonable amount of time and is a good disc. The only thing I would change are some of the subtitles; the original English translation of the Japanese dub is superior in a few scenes: Akane's description of Yuki as compared to herself, while Yamada points a gun at them, is more heart-rending than the current subtitles allow. Apart from that, I have no complaints about this disc, and look forward to the next and final one.
