These lights are really well made and look great on a mantle but you cannot connect them strand to strand so I could not use them on a small tree as planned.

Work very well. I have had these lights and used them every year for over 10 years without any burnt out bulbs or problems. They do require some thought in arranging them on the tree; so I just leave them on and take the tree and lights to storage together. I have a 7 foot pencil tree.
