Down In The Valley, March 23, 2007

I first heard this recording when in a high school Music LIterature Class in 1954. I loved it and my parents bought me the 78 rpm recording as a Christmas gift. I wore it out playing it ..even through my college years. I have been wanting a copy of it and was thrilled when it became available. I don't believe the singers arre as good as they were in the original recording..they don't seem to have put the true feeling of the story into their singing. However, I do enjoy it and am pleased to have this copy.
