Kuruption ain't a bad thing!,

Kurupt is one of the best rappers out there. From the time I heard him on Stranded on Death Row I fell for his skill. He can come on strong at times, but he can also be really smooth. I don't see the fact that this album is not as popular as say The Chronic 2001 as a bad thing.....cuz then when you hear someone bumpin this you'll know there goes someone who really knows rap. He knows how to mix East and West and make it bump! I think that the people who say Kurupt ain't no good don't know rap. He's one of the best in the West...he puts his heart into his rhymes and I give this album its well deserved 5 stars.

Can Kurupt do without Deathrow? Hell yeah he can. He has become CEO of ANTRA Records, his own Bicoastal hip-hop label. He is a true innovator. The best tracks are: "This One's For You", "Make Some Noize", "Put that On Something", "We Can Freak It", "Fresh", "C-Walk", "Housewife", "That's Gansta", "Ask Yourself A Question", and the whole East Coast CD. BUY IT!

Kurupt's long awaited debut is a double disc, a west coast cd and an east coast cd, although the sound is not much different between the two. All in all it is a pretty good album but not as good as I expected. Out of the 23 songs there are 3 I never listen to and 3 or 4 more that are ok, the rest are quality, which leads to the fact that this could have been a 16 or 17 song classic... Production is handled by a large number of people and is pretty good. D-Moet does 4, Battlecat, DeVante, Daz Dillinger, Storm all do 2, and Dr. Dre, Kurupt, Soopafly, RJ Rice, Easy Mo Bee, Studio Tone, Twin, Warren G, MED all do 1, and 2 producers aren't listed. He has 7 solo songs out of the 23. A little below his "Space Boogie" and a little more below his classic "Streetz Iz a Mutha" but still a good 4 star album to have in your collection.

Kuruption!,

Kurupt has got to be one of my favorite rappers ever, from his start on The Chronic, to his appearances on Doggystyle all the way to the Dogg Food album, he has never dissapointed once. I like this cd alot, mostly the West Coast side which has the biggest hits like "We Can Freak It" "Fresh" "C-Walk" "Put That On Something" "Can't Let That Slide" "This One's For U" "That's Gangsta" and "Make Some Noize" it is just mint. The East Coast side is where i start to have problems, where the songs mostly just are kinda average, to the point of bad. Kuruption seems like Kurupt is a little out of his element, cause you don't see Daz rapping once with him, he has a lot of no-name guests from Antra, and a couple others like Tray-Dee, Buckshot, Slip Capone, Noreaga, Dr.Dre & Baby S. He made a strong comeback on Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha, so a little experimentation isn't really that bad. Go Get This.

This album is bangin'! I enjoyed every single track, when are you gonna find another double CD with no filler! Not a single bit of filler! My favorites are 'we can freak it', of course, and 'fresh', 'c-walk', 'ask yourself a question', 'set up', 'game' and 'the life'.

Kurupt comes strong on his sophomore effort,

First of all, kurupt took a big risk. he got a label together from scratch basically, makes a two-disc album without the help of Snoop, Nate, and only using DAZ for three tracks. And he still puts up another classic. This disc holds nothing against Kurupt period, the West Coast disc is awesome. East coast is good but not as good, i still like it though. Daz is featured on my favorite the loud "make some noise" produced by Soopafly, and he also produces two gems for Kurupt, "Fresh" and "C-Walk". Warren G produces one of the tightest tracks on the album for Kurupt, "That's gangsta", which is hella tight. Dr. Dre makes his appearance producing "Ask Yourself A Question", which is also tight as hell. The absence of Nate Dogg, Snoop (who was featured on two songs, "Story To Tell" and "Gangsta, Gangsta", both taken off tha album at the last minute), Lady Of Rage, RBX, and others dat helped out hurts but Kurupt shows he didn't need them as much as he thought. I would reccommend this album.

Kurupt's first solo is incredible. The double LP from one of the DPG's finest has some blazin' traks like: "Fresh", "It's a set up", "Light S@#t Up", and my favorite song, "If you see me". Kurupt is one of the most ruff and rugged MC's in hip-hop today since 2Pac. Remember that!

this two disc cd is a must for any g-funk lover. snoop and nate are not there, but daz, soopafly, tray d, slip capone & many more are! the best disc is the west, but the east is also good. the best song is We Can Freak It, the east coast cd has a really tight song on it called It's A Set Up. i would recommend that you get the streetz Is a mutha, that cd is off the chain. kurupt also disses swoop g on "can't let that slide". DPGC for life.

NEWS FLASH:kurupt holds his own on kuruption,

This review is from: Kuruption! Bi-Coastal Edition Volumes l & ll (Audio CD)
this is one cd i don't regret buying at all. it is divided into 2 cd's, east and west. after listening to both of them, tha east is probably better 'cause kurupt comes off tighter on it. but da west coast is very good too with tracks like "ask yourself a question" and "we can freak it." also, "this ones 4 u", "fresh", "c-walk", and "that'z gangsta." da west has probably better production cause the tracks are done by Studio Tone, Daz Dillinger, Battlecat, Warren G, Dr. Dre, and even Kurupt himself. East Coast also has some nice tracks done by D-moet (who produced mega-hit "hate me now" by Nas), Easy Mo Bee (who produced for 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and others, even jazz great miles davis), da ex-filez productions, storm of Wu-tang, Devante` Swing (also on da west coast), stevie J, and others, not really as many big names. The best trackz on east are It's a setup", "gimmewhutchagot", it you see me, the life, and 'we can freak it NY Remix." There is only one problem; more Daz needed on the album, he's only on three tracks, and the tracks with Snoop Dogg and Foxy Brown were left off and i really want to hear them. but with guest appearances from Daz Dillinger, Dr. Dre, Buckshot, Noreaga, gonzoe of Tha Outlawz, and some ANTRA artists work very well. I reccommend this album highly.
