I was upgrading my stock grips on my '95 Harley Springer Softtail and the throttle side went on flawlessly. When I went to put on the clutch side I followed the directions of putting the rubber flange inside the switch housing's channel. The flange fit like a glove, but the switch housing was several millimeters away from being clamped together. Before applying the glue and making a full commitment to this, I decided to see how well I could clamp the housing together. It was pretty obvious that the diameter of the rubber material between the flange and the grip itself was too large, because I managed to strip the hex bolts on the switch housing trying to tighten it down to be mated together. After an hour of drilling out and removing the stripped bolt, I was able to get the housing apart. I cut off the rubber material protruding beyond the grip itself, so there was no material going inside the housing and everything fit together as expected after that point. With the supplied glue, this grip was secure and not going anywhere. I'm guessing that the flange offers an extra degree of insurance that the clutch side grip won't slide off in case of glue failing, but this feature was not compatible with my switch housing.

I added the bar end weights on these grips and the overall effect was as I intended, to eliminate my hands going numb. They look great as well.

I love these grips. My father has them on his Road King and after I took it for a ride I had to buy a pair for my Victory Vegas. Now I've gotten rid of the Vegas and bought an Electra Glide and the first thing that came to mind was "Oh man, I gotta buy a set of those grips for this." That sums up my feelings right there... I like them enough to keep buying a set for every bike I ride. haha. They absorb vibration really well and give you a soft and comfortable yet also firm grip. Add a throttle boss to make them even better. I already had an extra throttle boss lying around so I got this set without one, but I highly recommend adding it or buying the set that already comes with it. It really helps to give your wrist a rest on longer rides.

These grips are great for long rides - so far have kept my fingers from tingling. I installed this with a Kuryakyn Contoured Throttle Boss and it has made a huge difference over stock grips. On an '08 Heritage Softail, they were easy to install and look great. With addition of the contoured throttle boss from Powersports Superstore, it was still cheaper than the kit that comes with the smaller throttle boss and the bigger paddle on the contoured one doesn't seem to get in the way but adds a lot more comfort over the long ride than the smaller one seemed to.

I enjoy these grips because of their style and confort. They are heavy, what contributes to reduce vibration on the bars.
Good purchase!

The grips were shipped fast. The grips look great, better than the pics I guess. Installing them is pretty straight foward, just be careful taking the old cables off that you don't drop the tiny end furrels. On the bike they are a lot better than the factory grips. Love'em

Got these just in time for a trip to Maryland for a crab run. Vibration greatly reduced and as a result fatigue and numbness about eliminated. Definitely recommend. Take your time with install (youtube it) and you won't be dissappointed.

Have purchased this item before for other motorcycles and have never been disappointed. amazon's price can't be matched.
The ease of installation and the comfort of riding with them make a welcomed improvement over the originals.
