These are great to stick in the diaper bag and use for dirty cloth diapers when out and about.

After reading the reviews about the bags not being very big, I paid attention to how large "large" is... they're not huge, but they hold quite a few diapers in each bag. I carry both bags around with me - one for the diapers if there's nowhere to throw them out right away, and one for dirty food bowls, spoons, etc. (by the way, the person that is talking about one of the bags being tiny must have purchased the other bag pack where you see the "big" bag and then a cute little postage stamp bag in the picture - this set has two "large" bags, as it claims).

The one thing that I was worried about when I got them was that there was just a draw-string closing mechanism. I thought - oh man, this isn't going to keep poopy diapers in and smell from coming out. So, being the geeky scientist that I am, I did the experiment that all of you will not want to do - I put a soiled diaper in the bag, drew it closed and waited. For quite a few days, just to see how smelly it would get. It never got smelly. I was flabbergasted. So, I'm buying a set for Christmas gifts for all the new parents I know.

Seriously, these bags are great! And the best part, they're really reasonably priced!

I purchased this pair of so-called wet bags several months ago to tote our soiled cloth diapers home from when we are out and about in my bag. I was lured in by the economical cost (2 for lower price than 1 for some other brand bags) and lots of good reviews.

In my opinion, they do not contain wet or stink very well. Honestly I've had better luck with using plastic grocery bags over these Kushies' bags! They are made of one layer of what seems to be slightly "water-resistant" material with and have a drawstring closure on the top. I have found that they will leak if anything truly wet is in the bag. I've put a rinsed out cloth diaper in one bag, hung it up in my bathroom, only to find a small puddle underneath it later. Damp, wrung out items do okay, but the way the bag is constructed, moisture from the wet or damp items wicks out of the bag through the Kushies brand tag on the side for sure and possibly through the side seams also. The other issue is that if you carry something smelly in these bags (say a soiled cloth diaper, even just a wet one) it will make whatever it leans against, say like the inside of your purse or diaper bag, smell like what's in the bag. Not cool to take a "wet" bag out of your purse and find a wet spot and stink in its place!

To me failing at those things - not containing wetness or smell = failure as a wet bag. Spend a bit more and try a small Planet Wise wet bag (like Planet Wise Diaper Wet Bag - Gypsy Wave Small). I have bought 3 different sized PW ones since this ill-advised purchase, and none of them have yet to fail me through daily use and several washings per week these past few months. The PlanetWise ones have shamed these Kushies in comparison. Sometimes you get what you pay for, as for me I feel as though I got even less than what I expecting with these Kushies bags.

These bags are well constructed from what I can tell. They do an excellent job at keeping odors contained, even for long periods of time. I was skeptical about a drawstring being effective for odor control, but the drawstring works very well with the super flexible material of these bags and seals it shut. I have another bag that zips closed (planetwise brand), and it doesn't measure up to these bags at all. They are totally waterproof (don't get moist around edges) and can hold 3-4 large diapers if you need them too and several newborn diapers (I have a 21 month old and a newborn in cd's). I would highly recommend these bags to anyone who wants to get a few extra bags to have in your car or around your house (if you have more than one in diapers for example). I am VERY pleased with this purchase. Not to mention it is an excellent price!

I've read through a lot of the reviews on this set of wet bags and let me make a few things clear:

- These are 'On the Go' wet bags, as it says. These are not diaper pail liners, they are not laundry bags - they are WET BAGS. For use in your diaper bag to toss your soiled cloth diapers or a swim suit or an outfit that got barfed on.

- These bags have a draw string closure. Pull tight and close securely. It's that simple to keep out odors and to prevent leaks. I haven't had a single incidence of either.

- These bags have a waterproof lining similar to cloth diaper covers. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER! I wash these wet bags on a hot cycle with my cloth diapers and covers and then I hang them to dry. For the reviewers that said the bags started breaking down and got 'sticky' inside... did you put them in the dryer?

I have been using these wet bags for five months now with about twice weekly washing and they are still in perfect condition. As I said, I only line dry them, but they dry really quickly and are just as waterproof now as the day I bought them. I can stuff probably five or six cloth prefolds in there, so it's just right for a full day out if needed. I also use it for dirty clothes and swim suits. Works a treat.

Overall - please buy these for their intended purpose (a diaper bag wet bag) and take care of them (line dry) and you'll be very pleased!

EDIT December 2012: These bags are still working great for us! They are our diaper bag wet bags, still, and they fit about 2 maybe 3 cloth pre-folds in the standard toddler size. The bags are not degrading in any way. Still water and stink proof! Money well spent!
