These mittens were actually too big for my infant at 7 pounds, but even then were still difficult to put on as the bands around the wrists are not elastic. Now that he is almost 15 pounds, they can still be pulled on with a bit of a struggle, and actually stay on my active baby. The fabric is also a bit thicker than most of the other no scratch mittens available but the tradeoff is that they are less breathable and his hands get a bit sweaty. However, at $5 for two pairs, it's not a bad deal though i'm not sure it's worth the trouble to get them on.

What great little mitts at an even better price. These mitts are extra soft (flannel I believe) so when my baby goes near his face with his hands he gets just a soft material rub instead of a scratch from his little nails. Not sure why anyone would say these are hard to get on!?!? Putting anything on a newborn can be a challenge since they are so squirmy but these mitts just slide right on with no struggle at all. They even stay on which is great since the other mitts I have just fly right off as soon as he moves. I would love to have these in blue as well!!!

I washed these in cold water with other baby clothes and they came out full of pills, and looked totally raggedy. Not happy at all but will keep them because its too much of a hassle to return them.

Those mittens are not elastic, and it is a hassle to put on a newborn's hands because it won't expend. You just have to try hard and put baby's hand in it, which makes it difficult and painful to our fingers while trying to make it fit.

I was skeptical about these after reading the mixed reviews. These mittens are made of a soft flannel and have thicker cotton wrist bands instead of the typical elastic found in your average scratch mitten. The thick cotton wrist sets these mittens apart from the others because these mittens actually stay on and my newbie is a little crazy about rubbing/scratching her face and head when she wants to eat. Second, there isn't any elastic to irritate bavy's delicate skin. The thicker cotton wrists makes it slightly more difficult to get these on the baby, especially if there is a moving target. I solved the problem by putting my newborn's hand in a fist and quickly slipping the mittens over and that is it! I also wash these inside out and dry in the dryer on low delicate cycle to prevent the flannel from pilling. They shrink a little in the wash but can easily be stretched out and it beats air drying as suggested!

Washed these in preparation for our baby's arrival, the material pilled and became quite stiff. The fabric quality is awful.

Did not hold up well after the first wash. Looks ruined with threads coming out after a gentle cycle. Will not recommend.

I would not recommend this product. The seam around the wrist is quite hard, and it is virtually impossible to put it on an infant. It does not stretch one bit. We were not using it after the first time. There are mittens on the market that have a thin elastic band for the rist and a very soft cotton for the material which makes it esy to put on a baby's hand. This cotton is very thick and does not stretch
