Actually Use as Cloth Diapers!,
By
This review is from: Kushies Washable Pre-folded Diapers, White (Baby Product)
I'm sure these diapers do make lovely burp cloths, but if you are interested in cloth diapering, don't be afraid to try these. They are thicker than the Gerber prefolds and are quite absorbant. My 14-month-old is a heavy wetter and I can use these with a Kushies doubler and a wrap with no leaks. Also, these diapers don't have any rough sewn edges, so baby's skin is protected. They fluff nicely after the first few washes.

great for diapering, too!,

Believe it or not, these things actually make great ... diapers! I've also tried flat diapers and another brand of pre-folds with birds-eye weave, but these are far more absorbant than either. Also, the stitched "pre-fold" in the Kooshies is narrower than other brands I've seen, so they fit better and baby doesn't look like he should be wearing chaps and a cowboy hat. Yo, Partner. The only thing I *don't* like is that, due to the robustness of the flannel, it's harder to get diaper pins through, but storing pins stuck in a bar of soap helps.

Worth every single penny you'll pay for them!,

I wished I had discovered these when I had my first child. I'm now on my third and am thrilled with this product. I use them for burp rags and under babies head in the cradle (she spits up often). They are the softest, most cuddly cloth diapers! They are more like a cotton flannel and I can't say enough good things about them! My daughter also likes to cuddle with them. I have a feeling she'll be dragging these around for the next couple years! Sure beats dragging a big blanket everywhere. Try them, you won't regret it!

Ok but Chinese Prefolds are better,

These were ok but I much prefer the Chinese Prefolds that I ordered from a online diaper place. The CPFs are thicker (4 x 8)and work well with a snappi, pins, or just in a cover alone. I use the Kooshies more for burp towels than anything else.

A must-have for every home, even without baby!,

We used these cloth diapers as burp rags, as liners for car seats, as drool catchers when our babies were sleeping... they were wonderful! Soft, cushy, and absorbent, and they became softer with every wash! We use them now to dust with, to soak up spills, and to scrub stains... going on almost 10 years and still going strong.

Soft and absorbant but hard to fasten,
This review is from: Kushies Washable Pre-folded Diapers, White (Baby Product)
It's true that these diapers are remarkably soft, but I can't get a diaper pin through them because the fabric is so incredibly dense, I'm afraid I'll skewer my baby (or myself). I've been using the Snappi diaper clips with my other cloth diapers, which are terrific pinless fasteners, but the teeth can't grip the Kooshies fabric. They just slide right off. It's so frustrating. My mother bought me 3 packs of these from my registry but I had to go buy some other diapers instead.

More than diapers!,

My husband and I use these diapers as burp clothes. They are thick, absorbent and soft. Even the worst spit-ups don't go through these. When your baby no longer needs them, they are strong enough for continued household use such as cleanups, furniture polishing, car washing, etc.

great burp cloth...not so sure about using as a diaper,

These are really, really soft. They are pretty thick too. I like the way they feel. They are great to use for burp clothes and I would buy more. My only concern is that after I washed them for the 1st time they shrunk considerably from the size they were out of the package. The size after washing is still great for use a burp cloth, but, I would think that they may be too small for use as an actual cloth diaper, esp as the baby gets a little bigger.

Folks, these are not for diapering...,

Don't buy these to use for diapering. Cloth diapers have evolved quite a bit since your grandmothers used them on your mom and dad.
Another bit of advice, THESE ARE A MUST HAVE. I don't want to repeat what's already been said so I advise you to read the comments left by others so you can get an idea of the many uses of these. Think about it. You have a 10 day old baby, lets say. The uncles and aunts and nieces and nephews and granparents and neighbors and whoever, all want to hold your baby. These are what you use to drape over the shoulders of all those people for the baby to rest its head without being in direct contact with all those dirty clothes. It also prevents spit up from getting on your clothes. You have a toddler who likes to snack on graham crackers and juice boxes in the carseat. Before you let crumbs and whatnot collect this the crevices, lay one of these down first. When you get your kid, you grab the cloth diaper, voila, clean car seat. I like to wrap it around the baby's torso so his sticky hands don't get all over the carseat straps. Your kids are grown. These things are phenomenal dust rags, glass cleaning rags and, as the lady who actually gave the product a bad review so ingeniously discovered, the work well attached th Swifter(TM) produces. (Thanks for the idea, btw!) YOU'RE HAVING A BABY? CONGRATULATIONS... NOW GO GET THESE!

I am happy that these introduced me to what pfs (prefolds) are. However after using these, and several others, these are the worst. I like my Chinese pfs and my unbleached Indian pfs much better. They also cost waaaaayyy too much for pfs. I only paid like 1.50 each for my (larger) Indian pfs which are much softer and non-pilly. They are absorbent though. I still use them as spit cloths sometimes, but mostly use them as stuffing for my pocket diapers.
