5.0 out of 5 stars Really durable!!! Cream Color is a better way to go.
I was looking for something to save me from washing crib sheets and matress covers every time I miss my boy's laser beam attack. After looking at other ponderous pads, I decided to try this. I am 200% satisfied.

I was looking for something to save me from washing crib sheets and matress covers every time I miss my boy's laser beam attack. After looking at other ponderous pads, I decided to try this. I am 200% satisfied.

First, it is a great size, big enough to have good coverage and small enough to keep it at the corner of a crib or in a diaper bag. Secondly, I have washed it and put it in a dryer every three to four days for the past three months, and it shows no wear. The water-proof backside seems sturdy without coating peel and crease wear. The soft front fabric side stays soft. Sometimes, I even rub together the top fabric side really hard with water and soap to spot-clean my baby's #2 stain, before putting it in a machine, and it has always surprised me how well it holds up my abuse. I was so happy with my purchase, that I bought another one to rotate around, when one is in a laundry.

Anyway, I bought the blue one first, because I thought it was pretty, and bought the cream one the second time, since I do not like pink. I like the cream one better, since its color seems to absorb #2 stain and, in addition, neutral enough for me to keep it for my future daughter.

I highly recommend this product!

These are nice changing pads. They are very very large. The largest I've found and fold up pretty small to tuck into a bag. Can be washed and dried in the machine.

5.0 out of 5 stars favorite changing pad, October 28, 2009

This pad is quite large, very soft, and folds up very well. It is my favorite of all changing pads I have. Many are too narrow or too stiff. Pretty design, nice cream color, and washes well, too.

I purchased this item to use as a place to change my baby's diaper when he's not on the changing table. I did not like it for several reasons:

--There is a vinyl or vinyl-like layer and a flannel layer. The two layers don't stay attached to each other, so that the flannel fabric bunches up when the baby moves around when he's lying on it. Having extra bunched up fabric getting in the way during messy diaper changes is inconvenient. Plus, the flannel texture adheres to my baby's clothing adding the the bunching.

--The vinyl/vinyl-like layer smells bad and chemical. Why expose your baby to more chemicals then you have to? You don't need this material to make something that's waterproof.

--It's not machine washable/dryable. I find this annoying as changing pads can get pretty dirty and who has time to give them special treatment in the laundry. I've found others that are washable.

In short, I would return mine except that it's already been used/washed. So I threw it out.

I recommend the Carter's Keep Me Dry Flannel Bassinet Pad instead, it has none of these issues and works wonderfully as a changing pad. Plus, it costs less!

5.0 out of 5 stars diaper changing pad, May 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a family daycare and I purchased one of these in each style I could find. Now each child has his/her own pad and no more wiping down the big plastic changing pad I used before. These fold up to about the size of a diaper and wash well. I have small cubbies for each child were I put their diapers and wipes and these fit perfectly in the cubbie!

This item is not %100 cotton. The back is lined with vinyl which is not mentioned in the product description. Once opened, the off gassing from the plastic was very strong. I returned the product and if had I known this had vinyl back I would have never purchased in the first place.

5.0 out of 5 stars i like this product, June 8, 2010

This is very easy to use. Easy to fold, and put it in the diaper bag, and take it anywhere I go. It has a fabric side, so it's more comfortable than plastic one. Also, it can be put into washer under delicate cycle. Pink and pretty for a little girl. I will get another one soon, since the price is good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It!!!, April 7, 2010

Received this item in the mail today. I will be using it as a sheet saver in anticipation of newborn poopy blowouts. The cloth part of the pad is soft and cute whereas the backing looks to be and claims to be waterproof. It is a great size and a great price. I will have to see how it holds up in the wash but if all goes well, I will probably get a couple more for backup. Love it! :)

This review is from: Kushies Waterproof Change Pad (Assorted Colors & Patterns) (Baby Product)
We were looking for a change pad for our new baby for when we are on the go and not having access to our changing table or changing area on her portable play yard, this waterproof change pad by Kushies fits the bill quite nicely. Soft colored, waterproof and soft to the touch all add to the usability of this essential item for a new baby. If you have one on the way or a new born and need a simple solution to changing issues, look at the Kushies Waterproof Change Pad as a possible way to go.

I bought this for when my nephew visited and it was great for diaper changes on the bed. It laundered nicely, but did shrink a little. Not a problem - just enough that I could notice.
