4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! but not durable
My husband and I have been thrilled with this mat for the last four months... until this week. My mother-in-law's ring has made tons of tiny tears in the surface of the pad, which were invisible until she changed him after a big blowout (lovely, I know, but we are talking about a diaper changing pad here). You have to be VERY CAREFUL not to let your fingernails or jewlery...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not durable, not worth the $$$
We had such high hopes for this changing pad... but what it has in looks is just not worth it in terms of durability. It was good for the first 2-3 months with our twins, but sadly, it took very little time for the signs of wear to show. The protective coating quickly cracked and then began to chip away, revealing the foam interior - and once that happened, the material...

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! but not durable, June 8, 2009
My husband and I have been thrilled with this mat for the last four months... until this week. My mother-in-law's ring has made tons of tiny tears in the surface of the pad, which were invisible until she changed him after a big blowout (lovely, I know, but we are talking about a diaper changing pad here). You have to be VERY CAREFUL not to let your fingernails or jewlery (or baby's fingernails) snag the soft foam material. Once there's a little tear in the surface, diaper contents can soak into the pad, staining it and undoubtedly leaving it less than sanitary. If you're willing to use a lot of caution (as I have been) and warn everyone who changes your baby about this weakness (which I neglected to do), you'll probably love it. I know I have. But now, I'm a bit annoyed with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic but edible?, April 30, 2009

Loved this product for 7 months. It's easy to clean, portable and seems comfortable. But, it had to go once the let-me-see-if-can-chew-on-this phase started. Our baby took several large bites out of it. Now we're using a traditional covered changing pad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this product!, March 26, 2009
Everyone thought I was crazy for paying this much for a changing pad. However, I wanted something very sturdy to set on my dresser. This pad is very stable and will not move when the baby moves around. It is also deep enough not to let her roll out (she is just 2 months old now). It is long enough for her to have plenty of room in this for me to have access to her. If you want a pad to sit on a piece of furniture this would be the pad for you.

I chose this mat after reading many negative reviews on other mats that removed finishes from dresser tops. I am happy to say this one does not. It is easy to wipe up, comfortable and does not require a cover. Everything I could have asked for!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not durable, not worth the $$$, May 25, 2011

We had such high hopes for this changing pad... but what it has in looks is just not worth it in terms of durability. It was good for the first 2-3 months with our twins, but sadly, it took very little time for the signs of wear to show. The protective coating quickly cracked and then began to chip away, revealing the foam interior - and once that happened, the material seemed to disintegrate quite rapidly. We had researched changing pads extensively before deciding on this one, and were so disappointed that it just did not deliver. Ultimately, once this changing pad was beyond hope, we settled on the more basic, 4-sided L.A. Baby model, with a cover - and have never regretted that choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy Mom & Happy Baby!, February 25, 2011

This review is from: Kuster Jelly Baby Changing Mat in Cream (Baby Product)
I bought this when I had my little guy 2 years ago! I'm still using it! I had it covered w a towel down the center to make clean up easier (just toss in the laundry). After 2 years the edge or lip at the top and bottom are deteriorating. Unfortunately small sponge like pieces are coming off. Great for an infant, but I do not see this product lasting for more than one child.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, May 25, 2009
This changing pad is so versatile. I use it to sponge bathe my baby as well as change her, and it is very easy to clean. It's also portable, cushy and warm, and won't leave marks on anything. Also, the price may be more up front, but considering that you save by not having to buy mat covers, it pretty much evens out the cost of something less. If you want covers or liners, they fit fine on this thing. I even use a towel if I feel like it. I was afraid the pink would be garish, but it's soft and pretty. Plus, my baby loves to be changed on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Dresser Top Changing Pad, February 22, 2009
By
This review is from: Kuster Jelly Baby Changing Mat in Cream (Baby Product)
This mat is a comfy, no-skid resting place for baby. It's also Vinyl-free, which was what we were looking for most of all. While a cover isn't necessary (according to the previous review), we just use a towel on top which works fine. We've been using this mat for 4+ months and have not had any trouble with it harming the top of our antique dresser used as a changing table.

4.0 out of 5 stars Needs improvement, September 23, 2008

I bought this for my little one's nursery because those old school ones creep me out. I found a liner that fit perfectly in this and was happy for a while. But after one year of use, bits of the edges are breaking off and the entire thing is slightly stained (and it is difficult to say with what). The staining could be my fault, for not being a better housekeeper, but I never noticed anything on it that could produce a stain. I will say I am happier to have this than the grody old school kind, but I will have to throw this away after one child, which is a bummer. Oh, the color is also more yellow than you might expect from the photo.

4.0 out of 5 stars high end piece of baby gear, May 7, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I desperately wanted the cream color version of this pad, but alas it was sold out everywhere I looked. I decided to go ahead and go with the pink version and I am still very happy with it. It is a very high end pad and has awesome grip when any weight is put on to it. While my baby isn't here yet, I foresee this being a great piece. I had to find a pad that is smaller than a standard pad because the dresser I bought needed one that was no bigger than 29". This one fits perfectly and will be super easy to clean up. It only gets 4 stars (I wanted to give it 4.5) because she will outgrow it sooner than a standard pad. I would purchase again!
