5.0 out of 5 stars AN EXCELLENT EXPLANATION OF KWANZAA'S SEVEN PRINCIPLES FOR YOUNGER READERS, December 20, 2010
Writer Rod Terry is a prosecuting attorney for the District of Columbia.

He writes in the Introduction to this 1996 book, "(the book) explores the meaning and significance of each principle of Kwanzaa, suggests how the principles can be applied to everyday life, and includes inspirational thoughts and quotations by notable African-Americans relative to the philosophy of each principle. This book is intended to be used throughout the year as a source of inspiration and a guide for spiritual well-being, as well as a companion for celebrating Kwanzaa."

After the individual chapters describing each of the Seven Principles, there is a "Biographical Index" of the individuals quoted.
