You don't need to have done much sewing before to follow the instructions in this book to make reasonably fitting and looking womens clothes. I like the way the book tells you how to change the design to do things like add pockets, make shorts instead of slacks etc. I've tried to make clothes from other patterns and these are by far the easiest and quickest I've tried so far - and the results are good. The blouse with collar and cuffs is my favourite.

I've made many items from this book--shorts, skirts, tops. I love the way they show multiple variations on the same pattern, so that you learn how to make changes that match the way you want your clothes to fit. Because sizes S-XL are included on the same pattern pieces, you can easily adjust to be a size M in the shoulders, but L at the hips. I actually just ordered a "like new" used copy of this--I somehow lost the master pattern, but I like this book enough to buy it again.
