I bought this book shortly after I had my first child. I couldn't live without this gem in my library these days. I use it to sew for my 2nd child now, and to make gifts for relatives and friends. I also do a lot of charity sewing with the patterns in this book.

This book not only has clear,easy, straight-forward patterns for all the classic basics (dresses, Ts, PJs, overalls, pants, sweatshirts, jackets, even hooded Kangaroo-style pullover sweatshirts), but it also has wonderful, clear, concise sewing lessons in the front.

Truth be told, I learned more to sew from this book than I ever learned in school, from relatives, or from patterns by other companies with bigger names (Simplicity, etc.) I even learned a lot about appropriate fabric selection from this book.

This book gave me inspiration and help every step of the way to create clothes my kids love best and have worn weekly for years.

And when I had questions, detailed sewing help was just a phone call away to the publisher!

A wardrobe that will last you through the toddler years of any and all kids you know, sewing instruction, inspiration and ideas, and help for such a low price? Can't be beat!

PS, a hint -- let the kids pick the fabric and get involved. They'll learn a lot in the process and enjoy 'helping' make the clothes.

I love this book! It has some great patterns for little ones, with lots of good ideas. I am sewing from it everyday and it is a joy to use. It pays for itself after making a couple of garments. Well illustrated and easy to follow instructions.

I have not sewn much since I was a child in 4-H and certainly had forgotten what I needed to know to make clothing and make it look good. I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful instructions and ease of use. The first pants I made took no time at all and turned out great.

I am an avid sewer. I have found that most of my toddler clothes are made from these patterns = simple to use and easy to fit. A few minor alterations and I have my Halloween costumes, dress up cloths, school clothes. This basic pattern set is all you need!

I bought this after viewing all the positive reviews. This book does contain information for just about every article of clothing a toddler would need, as well as ways to deviate from the standard pattern. Patterns for 4 different sizes are included. I feel that I am mid-level when it comes to sewing, have sewn with commercial patterns, basic instructions off the internet, and basic items without a pattern. Having said that, some of the instructions are missing, or assume that you know a lot more about sewing. There are some good ideas in here, but if you want to sew just one or two of the items, I'd recommend buying a specific pattern.

For someone like me, who have only attended basic dressmaking class and never learnt how to draft or sew children's clothes, this book has been a great teacher to me. I learnt and figured out much from this book. I even managed to modify and design many more designs, which people who found out that those clothes were not bought ready-to-wear were impressed!

The only things I missed, but managed to figure out from the basic patterns in this book too, were sleeveless tops, camisoles and panties -- these are most needed in my daughter's basic wardrobe as weather in the country where we live is summer all year long.

I had used other Kwik Sew patterns years ago but had not tried the books. I haven't been sewing much the past few years but decided I wanted to sew some pajamas for my grandkids for Christmas. The books arrived in a timely manner and the patterns were exactly what I wanted. I was able to sew some pajamas for a granddaughter and a grandson using the patterns in this book and they turned out exactly as I had hoped. I really like the fact that Kwik Sew patterns "fit".

Excellent book for beginner and nonbeginners, I made a lot of the outfits for my daughter. I would recommend if you are starting to sew. Simple designs.

very easy to follow instructions. Has basic patterns for everything for toddler boy and girls. Love the fact it shows so many differnt ideas for changing the look of basic clothing. It is very hard to find toddler boy patterns anywhere and this book fits the bill. the most time consuming part is tracing the size pattern that you want to use but it's worth it.
Also received it a couple of days after I ordered it.

I was given the baby version of this when my granddaughter was born, but when she outgrew the baby sizes, I went looking for more and was thrilled when I found this book! You use the same basic pattern pieces,(sometimes cut different ways)traced out on a roll of tracing paper of the size you want and voila! a pattern to meet your exact needs! The instructions and adaptations are super easy to follow and there are even applique patterns! Last night I made a T-shirt in just over an hour. If you sew for babies, toddlers or kids, this series of books is a MUST HAVE!
