This thing is a blast on the water!,

I have no idea what the rewiewer who gave it 2 stars was doing with it but my nieces 10, 15 1/2, and 18 were having a blast on it. There's no need to keep this at a 45 degree angle to steer it. Toes hanging off the back is normal unless one is really picky about it he or she could work to keep their toes on. It took my nieces a bit to get the hang of it but after a couple rides each the had this thing airborne 5 to 6 feet off the water. I am really glad I got them this for the 4th of July weekend they had a blast and it's going to last a quite a few summers.

This inflatable is quite fun. It's very sturdy, and hard to tip over, no matter how hard I tried. The only drawback is that if you are tall your feet can hang off. That can hurt a little...
It's definatelly steerable, which is nice, you can cut in-and-out of the wake. I'd buy this again!

KWIK TEK as scuba float,

I ordered this as a scuba float (It cost over a hundred bucks then) because I thought I could crawl up onto it with my tank on and kick away. But I'm too heavy, I can't get onto it, so it was a waste of money. Other than that it seems well built but I'll probably take it to a flea market and give it away to one of the venders.

Fins on the SIDE, difficult to steer,

We bought this based on reviews elsewhere online. It didn't work for us. The fins are on the side, which means you have get the thing up at about a 45deg angle to even get the fin in the water. Without the fin, it doesn't steer any better than a flat tube. So steering involves sitting on one side of it to get the fin in the water, then controlling it that way. Not easy. Also, you use it like a kneeboard, but it's difficult to keep your toes from dragging in the water. It didn't work for my kids.
