we purchased this anchor not knowing one came with the raft we purchased. But we are glad we did, the two anchors did a fine job holding us in place.

We bought this item to anchor our Island Cool float at the lake. It works great and made our 4th of July at the lake even more enjoyable.

I can see how other users would have complaints about the weight being too heavy when trying to remove it from the water. I would not recommend using this item for deep water because it would make it a pain when its time to remove.

Overall this is a great product.

We loved the idea of taking our inflatable boat a few feet away from shore and anchoring to enjoy the sun while vacationing in the Cayman Island. Until it was time to go!!!! 20 feet under is really bad when one is trying to empty the contents of the bag in order to go back to shore! :-) We untied it from the boat and left it behind!!!!!

We use the anchor for a large float at our lake house. It holds well and has made the float much more relaxing. The only thing about the anchor is that it can be difficult to get out of the water. We used sand in the bag and when it gets wet, it gets heavier than 50 lbs.

I filled this with sand and it held like it should. HOWEVER, the excess anchor line does not stay neatly wrapped up in the pouch. Haven't figured out a good way to secure the excess line.
